I keep hearing that MA is outdated and too end-heavy. I take it you think otherwise?

I'm Interested in a Time-based toon (I was thinking defender, but if it's better suited to another class, I'm open). I've tried Time before, and it didn't go well, but I keep seeing threads about how awesome it is, so I assume I wasn't doing something(s) correctly. Is there a guide somewhere for Time? If there is, I haven't seen it.

How does Claws compare with Street Justice? -

How does Claws compare to Savage Melee? I realize it may not be a question of better or worse, but rather differences. The thing is, I don't know enough about Savage Melee to really judge.
