  1. I like my Super Strength/ Electric Brute. Power Sink and Energize take the sting out of Rage crashes, and nothing says "using your cybernetic arms in a fight" like Punch, Haymaker, and Knockout Blow.

    I do it on new characters by getting the "House Hunter" badge, which unlocks the Midnight Squad badge. Otherwise, join the Midnighter club and do the arc to get the Midnight Squad badge.

    Dang yes it is. I made a Shield/Fire/Dark to play around with new Fire Melee and Tar Patch, and it plays like a hybrid Battlecruiser/ Monster Truck, just smashing into groups.

  4. (My recent fold space experience is with an Earth controller that drops Volcanic Gasses/Earthquake/Quicksand and then Folds Space enemies onto the patches.)

    Nothing that Fold Space does slows or stops enemies.

    You will want to Mez or Debuff a group before bringing them in close, and if you miss any enemies before you fold space, they will arrive ready to attack you.

     

    Another quirk of the power is that for reasons I do not yet understand, it sometimes teleports your victims into a neat line extending away from you, and potentially outside the range of your Auras and Patches.

    If you replace "then get into them" with "Fold Space" then your process should work fine. Just be mindful that depending on the distance traveled and your move speed "get into them" might be faster than the Fold Space Cast time + Animation. Oh, and Fold Space can miss, so some enemies might not get dumped into your Auras and Patches, and instead just shoot you from a safe distance.

  5. This may or may not be what you were looking for, but here's what I did for my Storm/Storm. Note that "H" is my Hybrid slot bind key and "L" is my Lore slot bind key.

     

    /bind g "Powexec_location 0:5 Storm Cell$$powexec_location target Storm Cell"

    /bind j "Powexec_location 0:5 Freezing Rain$$powexec_location target Freezing Rain"

    /bind k "Powexec_location 0:5 Tornado$$powexec_location target Tornado"

    /bind i "Powexec_location 0:5 Category Five$$powexec_location target Category Five"

    /bind o "Powexec_location 0:5 Category Five$$powexec_location target Category Five"

     

    Each of these places the patch 5 units in front of you if you have nothing targeted or puts it on your target if it is in range. Note if you are standing on something that the game doesn't think is the "ground" then the bind won't drop the patch.

    Make it a Blapper with 5 sets of Sudden Acceleration (for the recharge) and do Energy Blasts and Time Melee in the enemy's face!

    H for Hasten? But how do you activate your Hybrid toggle? 🙂

     

    For me, the ` key is right between the "NEXT TARGET NOW!" (Tab) and "NOT THAT TARGET RAAAAHH!!" (Esc)

    Domination. And powexec_hasten on the ` so I can fire it off with my pinky.

    I have one of these, and with the way Dark Armor works, it can be a wild ride, lightning rod-ing into a group and hitting that heap asap!. The aesthetics of clouds and lightning are top notch. Could be fun!

     

    (of course the real answer is: This is Homecoming! Make all of those characters!)

  10. +1 For Arsenal/Trick Arrow Controller. Mine is fun to play, and appreciated by teammates. I do use targeting binds to make the location AoE's single press powers.

     

    I am brewing up an Arsenal/ Savage Dominator, and it looks like it will smoothly achieve perma-dom, and shooting a mob at range with controls and then Feral Charge-ing in to do melee attacks feels like it will be a good time.

  12. I think the bombardment proc in Oil Slick Arrow itself doesn't work, or at least hasn't in any of the times I've tested. I swapped out the proc IO for Damage/Recharge with no regrets.

     

    However, the energy damage from the Energy Font from the Controller ATO sets it off reliably, and it's funny to watch the glowing spirit ball zipping into the group you have on the patch like that orc with the torch at Helm's Deep 🙂

     

    Also, the fire proc from Reactive Interface works as well.

  13. Thank you everyone! I slotted my oil slick arrow with Bombardment, including the Fire damage proc. We'll see if that creates a (randomly timed) auto-igniting slick.

    Also, I'll plan on getting Reactive Radial Interface so that most damaging powers have a chance to set the slick on fire.

     

    Last night on Indom, I was able to take part in a Nemesis invasion, and I have to say I'm very pleased with AC/TA for causing a lot of hard times for the bad guys! I just targeted through my Tri-Cannon and dropped clouds and patches anywhere it looked.

  14. Nice! I too am working up an AC/TA Controller and am excited about the amount of "danger zone" that the combo puts out. 

     

    Do we know if the Oil from Oil Slick Arrow can be ignited by fire and energy? Flashbang and EMP Arrow may be able to ignite the slick if so (I can't quite make heads or tails of the city of data info the various oil slick entities).

     

    Either way, I was beside myself with joy to see my character with a bow, a quiver, and a rifle hanging off his back 🙂

    Ahh gotcha. That's fair.

     

    However, when I say "spreadsheet" I really mean a single tab that has columns for level, the power taken, how many slots, what goes in them, what the total +recharge is, and a cell to tell me how many slots out of total I have left. So it's almost a piece of paper 🙂

     

    And I made the layout in 2019, so those minutes are well absorbed into time spent building characters.
