  1. Thanks Auroxis, they look great., The help is very much appreciated. Will jump on soon and have a play around on mids.
  2. Hi Biff, Thanks a lot for sharing the build much appreciated 👍. Definitely check it out when I'm home later. Sounds like a lot of fun!
  3. Hi everyone, I’ve recently returned to the game and have been working my way around dusting off my old alts. I’m now turning my attention to my Energy/Energy Blaster. I did original go with Force Mastery for aesthetics but I'm open to mu mastery. I’m looking for a solid, top-tier build (budget isn’t an issue). Hover-blasting, ranged-focused play style Excellent recharge Capped ranged defense Plenty of knock back And of course Big Damage lots of nukes. It will mainly be a solo focused toon running old TFs and X3 or X4 / 8 content if possible at 50+ As always thanks to the community for the help and advice you give.
  4. Thanks Maelwys, as always the help and guidance is appreciated. Will jump on mids later and have a play around.
  5. Thanks Tidge! Definitely an interesting read through. A well built MM is capable of all the things I've listed is my goal, how we get there is a different story. But some great information has been shared above. I think I've made the right choice with Bots/Traps although obviously there's more than one viable choice for what I want just feel like in the long term this will work for me.
  6. Thanks for this, definitely and interesting read. 👍
  7. Some Great advice here, as I said above..I think I will go down the Bots/Traps route so this is giving me a great starting point to attempt to cobble something together with mids. Just want to clarify, I will obviously use incarnates at some stage. I'm not fully on the route of never use incarnates, I'd just like to be able to do X4/x8 as soon as possible ideally as I work my way towards incarnates
  8. I appreciate all the advice and guidance above from everyone, I feel like a deer in the headlights coming back after a few years. I do have a very old Bots/FF although probably needs and upgrade now... I've heard great things about /Marine and know it's a top-tier set. However, for this specific character, I'm aiming for a build that aligns with the thematic concept I have in mind. For me, the combination of bots and water doesn't quite fit my personal character's story arc, which is why I've been focusing on the other three powersets. I think I will probably end up going Bots/Traps just because it's tried and tested throughout the years and I know this will fit what I'm looking for in the long term. Next step is finding a stating point for a decent high end bots/trap set up. I've been soaking in as much information as i can about slotting Bots just need to do a bit of research on traps.
  9. Hi All, I’m looking for some guidance from players familiar with these sets and their capabilities. After recently returning to Homecoming, I’ve been on an alt-rolling spree—one of them being a Bots/… My main goals are: Mowing down +4/x8 content. Being able to solo AVs and GMs. Ideally able to handle +4/x8 by level 50 without relying on Incarnates. Bots/Traps has always been a strong contender for this I'm aware, although I’ll admit I know very little about Traps in practice. Bots/Time caught my interest simply because it sounds like a lot of fun to play. It's giving me skynet vibes. bit of time manipulation mixed with killer robots "Arresting Robots" Bots/FF just feels like it was made for the Bots theme, but I’m guessing the kill speed might be a bit slower compared to the other two options. I’m currently browsing the forums for build ideas, but I’d love to hear from people with hands-on experience. I’m set on Bots as my primary, and ideally, I’d like to keep my secondary choice between these three options to fit the character theme I’m building. Thanks in advance for any advice!
  10. I appreciate the above guys. Thank you. Will have a look at Bill's Build tonight as well and see if I can get some inspiration from there!
  11. I really appreciate the ideas, thanks! When I get home, I'll hop on Mids and play around with them. I haven't played a Scrapper in a long time and was debating between a Scrapper and a Stalker. CLAWS/SR or DB/SR, but I think I've settled on Claws because I enjoy the speed and flow of the set. Just want something with great damage and is fun to jump in and slice and dice.
  12. Hi everyone, I've just returned to Homecoming after a few years away and was originally planning to jump back in with a Brute. However, I've decided to go with a Claws/Super Reflexes Scrapper instead — something fast, sleek, and deadly. I'm looking for a high-end build (no budget limitations) that can tear through +4/x8 content like a buzzsaw. If anyone has a build they’d be willing to share, or even just some guidance in Mids to construct a tricked out destroyer, I’d really appreciate the help. Thanks in advance!
  13. Hi and thanks for taking the time to read and reply — it’s genuinely appreciated! I should probably start by saying I've recently returned to the game after a long break. My main comfort zone has always been my fully IO’d Fire/Fire/Fire Blaster, which I’ve used to tackle alot of content in the past. It’s a beast and a blast to play, but I’m looking to shake things up and try something new — specifically, a Brute (or possibly a Tanker) built for challenging solo content. I'd like to be able to take a hit complete opposite of my blaster. To be totally honest, I’m still learning the ins and outs of what makes an optimal Brute build, especially for soloing harder encounters like Giant Monsters, Archvillains, old Task Forces, Trials, and other endgame content. I’ve got a healthy in-game bankroll, as stated so budget isn’t an issue. What draws me to Brutes is the aggressive, high-damage play style. The idea of smashing through enemies with Fury ramped up while still being able to stand toe-to-toe with AVs really appeals to me. I’ve also been looking at Tanker options, but I’m not sure if they can handle this kind of solo content without turning into a slow slog — survivable, yes, but I still want to feel powerful and engaged. As for power sets, I’m deliberately steering away from Fire — I’ve played enough pyromancer to last me a while. Radiation has caught my eye, both for its visual style and the strong -regen debuffs, which seem ideal for AV and GM fights. I’ve also considered Dark/Dark, since I know it's incredibly tanky, but I’m unsure how well its damage holds up once fully IO’d and loaded with procs. I know it's tough as nails! I do have a few other characters lying around — a level 50 Bots/FF Mastermind I never really developed, and an old SS/Invul Brute, but my current interest is in finding a fresh powerhouse to push content solo and shine in group content too. Something aggressive and satisfying — not really into Martial Arts, though... Aesthetics matter to me as well, so I’m partial to matching primaries and secondaries (e.g., Rad/Rad or Dark/Dark), but I’m not absolutely locked into that. Ultimately, I’m looking for a high-performance character I can really invest time and effort into. Something that can solo old and new content, take on difficult fights. I’m excited to get back into things and appreciate any guidance or suggestions you can share!
  14. Hi everyone, I'm looking for assistance from the community in creating an optimized, high-performance build for a Radiation Melee / Radiation Armor Brute. My goal is to solo Archvillains, Giant Monsters, and Trials, as well as comfortably handle x4/x8 solo content and run some old taskforces. I want something that can push the limits of what a brute can do solo, so budget is no concern — I'm open to purple sets, winter IOs, and any high-end enhancements that will squeeze out every drop of efficiency, power, and survivability. I'm particularly interested in maximizing: Survivability vs hard-hitting AVs and mobs Efficient AoE and ST damage chains Strong endurance management Softcapped or near-softcapped defenses (if possible) Fast recharge for key powers Unfortunately mids isn't my strong point If anyone has experience with top-tier Rad/Rad builds or suggestions on where to find a decent build to push it to its peak potential, I'd really appreciate your input. Thank you in advance!
