Hey folks, ty all for the advice in my previous post. I've been blindly wandering my way through a build on this vampire character based on y'alls advice, random forum posts, the Rich Alt Perma-Dom Guide, etc. I function pretty well at 50 but I know I need to respec and could use some advice into making this the least-bad possible. Goals: - Keep certain powers (below). - Keep perma-Dom. - Be able to solo missions and survive well on a team, including when exemplared down. I'm not out here looking to solo Giant Monsters or ITFs, I just want my cool-looking vampire to stay alive. Powers I use a lot/want to keep: Darkness Control: Dark Grasp, Possess, Fearsome Stare, Heart of Darkness, Haunt (I like the six Cupids here unless they work somewhere better), Umbra Beast Savage Assault: Call Swarm, Unkindness, Feral Charge, probably Blood Craze and Spot Prey Dark Mastery: Soul Cloud (necessary for the look), maaaaaaybe Soul Consumption (it fits the theme) Pools: Mystic Flight, Haste (need to move this way earlier in the build). Everything else us up for grabs/me just following advice. Stuff I never use: Living Shadows (meh), Rending Fury (usually stuff is dead before this matters, plus it feels better to keep my frenzy stacks?) I know that's a lot of restrictions, but to be honest I'm not even sure what I'm trying to max out on a Dominator. I really just need advice on where to put IOs and slots (Should some things be proc bombed more than others? Are there obvious IOs I'm missing? Where should I put the AT set/s? What powers do I 6-slot vs 4 or 5?) and a better order of powers so I can be functional more often. Current (jank) Build: Pic Data: VampGal - Dominator (Darkness Control - Savage Assault).mbd

Savage Assault stopped showing status icons (edit: and other icons)
Petrograd replied to Petrograd's topic in Bug Reports
Minor update, it's not just savage assault. The double xp buff isnt showing an icon either. Don't know what else might be missing. -
This seems like a minor bug, but I can't tell whether its having a gameplay effect or not. I've been playing a Dark/Savage Dominator, and I'm now in the 40s, but the power status indicators under my health bar for Blood Frenzy and Exhausted have just stopped showing up. It seems like the gameplay effects are still happening, but I can't be sure: The powers that use up blood frenzy will still glow orange after a few attacks and the word "Exhuasted" still pops up over my character in the middle of the screen when I use them.

I made a Dark/Savage Dominator because it seemed the most thematic (char's a vampire), but while leveling I just don't understand Dark. I have literally 5 separate hold/mez types that don't seem to synergize and it feels like I never know which button I should be hitting. I tried searching the forum for a general guide but I couldn't find anything, just builds. Would anyone be willing to tell me what Dark powers are the best vs. skippable and what their general use pattern is? Or if this already exists, does someone have a link?

Truth Seeker Badge (i.e. Uncomfortable Truths badge)
Petrograd replied to Mr Shamrock's topic in Badges
Guide over here (I posted it during the Open Beta, so its on that board.) -
My best guess is, there are other things you can do that West disapproves of, and I don't know each and every one. You might've aggravated her too much if you asked too many questions or criticized her or flirted with her as Rikmach said. Usually I can still get the clue even if I ask a few questions if I did Alien speech/Keep you laughing/Skulls thing was clever, but I don't know where the threshold is.

I've done the arc on multiple characters including ones I did all 3 external contacts through Flashback only, and still gotten the badges. 2 things I can think of: - If you're doing Erin West's arc via flashback, you have to go talk to the contacts in person. They won't show up in your Inactive Contacts to call, but if you have the Souvenirs and walk up to them in person they should talk to you. Their locations are in the guide. - To talk to Tavish Bell, you need to complete both of his arcs: The Code Merlin and Vigilante Justice. Make sure you've done both, and try it again. (You can also still get the badges with just Six and Uqua and skip Bell, if you collect all their clues.) If Tavish won't talk to you after you've done both... I dunno, could be a bug, consider reporting it.

Thanks to @Velvet_Violet for writing this arc and advice and @Globetrotter for advice and feedback! Spoilers ahead! The new Erin West Rogue arc in Kallisti Wharf, Cutting Back Old Growth, has two badges for optional objectives. It is possible to get both in one run, but it will depend on your choices and dialog during missions as well as having some story arcs completed before starting. Here is what you need to do for both badges: Bonus Guide: The Alternate Endings (Spoilers) Bonus bonus guide: There is an additional Easter Egg with Ravenstorm. I have no idea how to get it.

If Your Characters had a Patron Pool...
Petrograd replied to Sakura Tenshi's topic in General Discussion
Well, Petrograd loves "requisitioning" villain gear for tinkering for his comrades. I figure there'd be a defense or res power that puts armor plates from Crey, the Council bots, etc jankily over your costume, especially if this is a power you could use on teammates kind of like the MM minion upgrades. Then probably some stolen villain weapon blasts and plastic explosives, again preferably given to teammates. An air support summon, maybe a Longbow Chaser, would also be good. -
This is an *extremely* niche issue and not a big deal, but for Dark Armor animations in the style Soul Noir with Eyes (Cover of Darkness and a few other powers), if I'm wearing a Prismatic Aether costume (specifically Freakshow Rikti Tank, haven't tested others), when you change zones the glowing eyes disappear. If I turn the aether costume off and on again they come back. So far this only seems to happen with the aether costume equipped. Images in spoilers.
