  1. I just did Roy Cooling's arc TWICE, and I was VERY careful about rescuing all the Injured Rogue PPD for the "No One Left Behind" badge.  The Nav text said I got all of them. I didn't get the badge.  Anyone know what the deal is, or have a similar issue?

I think the basic idea of "Scrapper, but ranged" should be... relatively... easy to balance if that's where you're going.  And the basic concept of someone who attacks with ranged powers/blasts and is also tough enough to take a few shots themselves is a classic archetype in comics/anime/movies that we were missing.

I've only played Sents a bit myself.  Mostly because the inherent is bluugh.  What struck me though was playing through a Rad/NRG and Arch/Nin.  They felt very different and that seemed like something you could leverage in design.  Instead of an offense/defense split with the inherent go with a... loud/quiet?

Give them a bar, start it at 0.  Now give them an inherent button that swaps stance between stealthy/quiet and explody/loud.

While in stealthy the bar slowly fills when they are not on anyone's aggro list.  It drops a lot every time some one attacks you, but it goes up someone you just attacked dies. The bar acts as a bonus chance to crit or a flat bonus damage(which ever works better) and a stackable -res added to your attacks.

In loud mode the bar fills to full once you enter combat and ticks down every time you attack. It goes up every time someone attacks you.  The bar gives you bonus protection above 50%, maybe regen/resist?  When below 50% gives you bonus damage/acc

I'm thinking switching resets the bar out and you can't switch mid combat. That it should be a bit you generally stick with and build around one style or the other. (But maybe stance-dancing would be fun.)

So you either play the quiet scout/assassin who gets kills without being noticed and plays stealth and defense/support and points out enemy weaknesses.  Or you play the kick-in-the-door beast that burns up their own protection for bonus damage and gives into the sweet allure of sentilock. Also good for solo play when everything is aggroing you anyway.

...I have no stake in the Sentinel discussion I'm just in quarantine and theory crafting is fun >_>

... this sounds really cool!  I would tweak it by still allowing mid-combat switching (keeping the reset-to-0, though), since that could get really interesting strategy-wise.  I'd really, REALLY like to try this out and see how it works!

  3. I went with "sweet".  The other badge names could be used for future badges (they're not number-specific), but sweet 16 only comes around once, and I have a few characters who would like to have that badge title, and I doubt that there would be another opportunity for such a badge in future.

  4. I just finished this one, which I'm pretty proud of.  I wanted the Most American Costume EVAAARRRR!! and I think this works (fireworks aura, red and white stripes, blue with stars, bald eagle theme with helmet and wings).  I've got a good name, too.  The problem is, I'm not sure what AT/sets to use.  I definitely want guns involved, so either Beam Rifle, Assault Rifle, or maybe Dual Pistols.  Other than that, I'm not sure.  I've seen good things about AR/Devices blasters, so I was thinking about that, but I tend to find blasters a bit too squishy for my taste.  I was also considering a Beam/Invulnerable or Beam/Willpower sentinel, but I'm not so sure about that AT either.  What do you guys think?

Does anyone have a nice costume for a fairy character?  I don't like the look of the fairy pets.  😞  I want to make a fire or water and nature character with fairy wings but I can't find a design I like so much.  I like the Disney fairies like Tinkerbell but don't want to copy it directly.  Thanks for the help!

I took a stab at this one, too.  This is based on a design for a character that I had on live.  The skirt and belt combo is supposed to look kind-of like a rosebud.  I used the witch top to look like leaves and vines.  I wasn't really sure what to do with the gloves or boots, so I just went with bare hands and feet.

I have a rad/sonic character. So far he is a arcane skeleton with wings but it doesn't match the science origin and honestly fits better in the magic origin, so that cosumte is going to a magic alt.

Alright with that out of the way for my ad/sonic character, he gets his powers from cosmic radiation kind of like the power cosmic in marvel think Galactus, Silver Surfer or the eternals unlike them, my character gets it in a accident. I want him tall and athletic with a badass high tech containment suit that supresses his powers but when he removes his suit , his full power is revealed (he is made of pure cosmic radiation). For colors mainly black. His armor has a glowing effect from the radiation kind of like this:

I'm not very familiar with the male costumes on CoX, but I just HAD to take a crack at this one.  Unfortunately, there's only so much that one can do without the availability of tri-colored costume pieces.  This is what I came up with.  Let me know what you think!

  7. How much extra work would it be to add music-themed power customizations to sonic powers?  I know that the Sirens from the Talons of Vengeance already have some (which is why I'm asking; I like the look of them and I want to use them).   Is this at all possible?  Thoughts on this?  I have a few ideas for musically-based characters, but the current sonic powers don't really seem to look/sound right.

  8. Is it possible to get the "Impounder" badge anymore (destroy 100 cars in mayhem missions)?  I've been smashing cars left and right and STILL haven't gotten it... yet I have the "Force of Nature" accolade.
    I'm confused.  Please help.

  9. I was poking around on ParagonWiki a few days ago, and I noticed that they had a page on the Wind Control powerset.  It looks pretty sweet!

Are there plans to get it released to the Homecoming servers?  I'd really like to play with it; I'm already getting ideas for more alts! 😄
(I'm not sure if someone said something about this before... I kinda think so, but I don't remember for sure, so I thought I'd ask)

  10. I absolutely LOVE that certain powers throw presents now instead of other things (chunks of concrete, etc).  I wish there was an option to keep this effect!

Are there presents in EVERY zone, just non-hazard zones, or...?
(I was wondering yesterday if there were presents in Dark Astoria.  I looked around for a little bit, but didn't see any.)

  11. My Illusion/Time controller is a bunch of fun.  Time is control-y enough to make up for Ill not having as many control powers, plus you can get pretty awesome Def stats with Superior Invisibility and Farsight, AND Time has some -Rech powers so it helps get Phantom Army up faster (mine is near-perma, I just need to finish getting her IO'd).
