Does this still work? And is it alignment-dependent (can Vigilantes get the badge this way, or do you have to be a Rogue or Villain)?

To justify his hero-ness, maybe something like "he's smart enough to know that, if he only takes out criminals, he can get away with it scott-free"? Sort-of "the perfect excuse to do what he does without interference".

Okay, here's what I came up with. I wasn't sure if you wanted a hero or a villain. Personally, I think this guy looks a bit villainous, but I also think he looks pretty badass! The idea behind the gloves is that he would use the bulky left glove to block, while he'd want more freedom of movement on his weapon arm, with only a small glove to prevent blisters/splinters (gotta take care of your hands if you're going to be fighting with them).
This one just started with the helmet, then the inspiration started flowing and it just came together. I don't know if this is the kind of thing you were looking for, but I thought I'd show you what happened when I tried to make a costume around your concept.

I was just looking through different primary powersets, and I noticed that War Mace and Battle Axe look very, very similar. I know that War Mace does Smashing damage while Battle Axe does Lethal damage, but other than that, they seem basically the same. What are the benefits and downsides of each? How do they compare? Do you have any preferences one way or the other?
(Also, which is greater: "Extreme" damage or "Superior" damage?) -

I also wanted to ask how a Rad/Beam Defender compares to a Beam/Rad Corruptor. Is the extra -regen from being a defender enough to make up for the Corruptor's extra damage, or vise versa? I have a great character idea that could be either one, but I want to know this before deciding.

Just curious, how bad is the end crash from EM Pulse? Paragonwiki says it has significant -recovery. Did this get changed when nukes were made crashless?

My elec/WP is my favorite character so far. Elec has good AoE, and Lightning Rod is just awesome. It just feels super to teleport into the middle of a mob and zap them to death while a thunder sound effect plays.
Today, using many, many temp powers and inspirations, my elec/WP brute SOLOED the "Ten Times the Victor" badge, which felt like an incredible achievement to me (is this actually a big deal, or do people do this regularly?). Overall, I just find elec/WP to be a fun combo that's good all around. I absolutely LOVE getting on teams that are complaining about fighting Carnies and just taking them all out while barely breaking a sweat (WP is pretty good against psi damage), and having everyone go 😮. With Incarnate powers, I can run pretty much anything at +4x8 difficulty (although some groups are still somewhat challenging), and I'm not really much of a min/maxer. -

In addition to all the previously-had fun, there's a LOT of new stuff on the Homecoming servers: new powersets (electrical affinity, experimentation power pool, etc.), new powerset proliferation (masterminds can get kinetics now! and many more), new costume options (new patterns and a new option for asymmetrical boots and gloves), a new AT (sentinels; ranged primary and armor secondary), new IO sets, new badges, even some new PLAYERS (which both amazes me and is not surprising in the least, if that's possible)!!Come and check stuff out! We'll see you in the City!

Lefties! I want an option where characters using weapons can use them left-handed. Maybe just mirror the animations?

I'd like to have different-themed categories of objects for Propel, for character reasons. If one of my grav-based characters is an alien being from another dimension, why are they throwing gargoyle statues at people? Or office desks? Why can't they just throw weird rocks and crystals? If my grav character is magic-based, why are they throwing technical equipment at people rather than cauldrons and statues and magic-type items?

Exactly! Origin is largely for flavor anymore, whereas alignment affects several logistical aspects of the game (who can team with whom, who can get missions where, who can go to which zones, etc.). Mainly, the reason I want to be able to see someone's origin is so that when I get a response to "xx lvl team lfm" I can tell if that person can actually come and team with me or not [Yes, I tend to run villainside content, but even when I specify that it's a villain team, I still get do-gooders trying to come help 😠 ]

Music-themed animations for sonic powers. The Sirens in the Talons of Vengeance already have some. I'd just like to make a music-themed superhero or -villain, and the discordant screeching that the sonic powers currently have does not fit that theme at all!
Also, some of my rad armor characters are more in the "I was irradiated 'til I glowed" category, so having glowballs buzzing around them doesn't make sense. Can we get alternate animations for those powers, or even just Minimal FX options?

I built off of Cutter's idea and used the newfangled asymmetry feature. They really need to have asymmetrical shoulders, too!

@Shocktacular, figured I'd show off where the revamp ended up. I kept your top half entirely - the face/helmet in particular are fantastic choices. Tweaked it to retain the original glowy belt, and changed the legs to be more statue-like - showing the solar power cracking through instead of replacing the stone as on top. Again, thanks for your ideas!

I'm not very familiar with the male costume pieces, but I came up with this. I hope you like it, or that it at least gives you some ideas. All the dark powers were in the same colors. I used the Energy shield because it's a glowing circle, like the sun. I used the Spectrum head and chest to show that, now that this statue has been awakened, the power of the sun is practically bursting out of it, making it glow.

Adding a neck/collar category would also make it much, much easier to make shoulder pieces asymmetrical, since, from what I understand, one of the main issues with that is that some shoulder pieces are actually neck pieces and having two overlap would be Bad (tm). (I don't understand that either; the asymmetrical gloves and boots already exclude some options so why not just exclude the neck pieces when asymmetrical shoulders are enabled? Also, we can already get overlap on neck pieces because some of them are under face details and some are under shoulders, so why is overlap such a big deal?)
