Skyway international airport is east of Skyway City

Forgot all about the Skyway International Airport.  Superheroes. Flight power. 😉

And south of the S.I.A. there could be a swamp.  Dry land leads to mushy swamp land, leads to the Argo River.

But not just any swamp.  A FIRE SWAMP! ("The Princess Bride" reference), lol.  2 AM I'm going to bed.

If you were to add a zone to Paragon City, where would you think would be the most interesting location, and why? What would you like to see in that spot?  Please consider how bordering areas might overlap or affect a new zone, giving a more cohesive feel to the city.

    "PDA"= Predefined area

PDA-1 - Croatoa to the NW, Independence Point and possibly Kallisti Warf to the south, Boomtown to the east

PDA-2 - Independence Point to the west, Kallisti Warf to the north, Steel Canyon to the east, Galaxy City to the south

PDA-3 - Siren's Call to the NW, Peregrine Island to the east/NE, The Hollows to the South, Atlas Park to the SW

PDA-4 - Rikti War Zone to the west, Independence Port to the east, Crey's Folly to the south

PDA-5 - Talos Island to the west/SW, Peregrine Island to the NW, Dark Astoria to the south

PDA-6 - Skyway City to the west, The Hollows to the north, Talos Island to the east

PDA-7 - Kings Row to the NW, Skyway City to the NE, Faultline to the east/SE, The Hive to the south, Brickstown to the west

PDA-8 - Faultline to the west, Skyway City to the NW, Talos Island to the NE, Founders Falls to the east, Eden to the south

The idea of an airport was mentioned.

I like the idea of a swamp. Not unlike "Dagobah" in The Empire Strikes Back; danger, mystery, adventure, etc...

Combining ideas here, some swamps are right after the airport this is in the event that the plane malfunctions/crashes at take off or landing it won't destroy buildings, infrastructures, homes, people, ...

Where to put an airport and a swamp nearby?

With the above map maybe west and northwest of Croatoa.

I like a team that occasionally stops mid-mission to just make goofy remarks.  Obviously in larger doses it can get annoying ...

"One trick is to tell them stories that don't go anywhere like the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so I decided to go to Morganville which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt which was the style at the time. Now to take the ferry cost a nickel ..."

  4. On Live I was Libbyator on Freedom. Started in March (or May?) 2005.

In Character Creation EVERY name I came up with for an indefinite amount of time was already taken and so I looked around the room for random ideas. There was the cat, "Libby," and my Terminator movie poster. And if THAT name was taken I might just quit for the day. Or the week.

But now, new name new game.

  5. Because some Control sets do more damage than others, and Dominators' Secondary Set deals damage, as opposed to the Controllers, some sets are better off on Dominators and some on Controllers.

To quote @Coyote (and the numbers/details may or may not have changed since then) but "Gravity, Plant, Fire, and probably Electric go Controller.

Earth, Dark, and Mind go Dominator.

Ice wants to go with Dominator to help its low damage but with Controller to help stack debuffs onto its knockdowns, -Recharge, and intermittent Confuse."

And some say, "play whatever you want to play."

    ...Cue Wayback Machine...

Back right after the original launch, there was such a thing as dumpster diving.  Basically a tank would go to a zone such as Perez Park, run around the zone and collect every mob they could reach.  They would then run back to a building that had a dumpster and jump in.  Wait a few minutes for all the mobs to show up and then the blasters would nuke the entirety en masse.   Rinse Repeat.

To say it was a game breaking mechanic would be an understatement.  So somewhere around Issue 2 or 3, the 16 enemy limit was put into place along with leashing the mobs to a location.  Problem solved.

Too many lowbies while  in PP would just get totally annihilated. Out numbered and out powered compared to the aggroed mob; like the whole map.

AND when you're trip to the Hospital sends you back to AP it's frustrating and time consuming.

    Too many players complained.

As kids watching the olde Road Runner & Coyote cartoons the trains would always signal the letter Q (- - . -)

Being older, it's not MC at all but train code using the horn to signal a crossing.

This has been your moment of "Nemeroff's Useless Knowledge."
