  1. Since I know that the usual suspects will be making troll posts on this thread, I ask that the devs please lock it asap, so that it remains nothing but a suggestion for them to look at and not a way to flame someone they see as an easy target for bullying.

And by usual suspects you know who you are. And if you don't, then clearly you aren't one of them and I am not referring to you. I am well aware there are way more good and mature players in this game than the aforementioned "usual suspects" unfortunately

it doesn't take that many active "usual suspects" to ruin a game.

It really is sad. Try to be nice, try to be friends with everyone, get attacked by some idiot, and then they act all surprised and conveniently forget who started it when someone reacts negatively to being intentionally provoked.

Sure the provokee should probably not have responded in the first place but the blame lies mainly with the provoker, who seems to be immediately forgotten in favor of trashing someone they see as an easy target.

  2. Like the title says, suggestion is to make a blast set (blasters, defenders, corruptors) based on the shurikens from Weapon Mastery and Martial Assault from Dominators.

Base the mechanic around ricochets, like how the electric support set chains but on enemies.

  3. Absorb is definitely in theme with water armor as I see it. a mix of Defense and absorb might be best, but absorb and resist works well.

Basically the water isn't right on your body, it kinda orbits you and automatically shields you from damage. you still breathe air and the armor does not hinder that. So its like a reactive armor, you subconsiously direct it to intercept incoming ranged attacks and block melee attacks.

An alternate visual where you're always immersed in a you shaped water bubble would be a nice option though, just in case you're a literal fish out of water, lol.

Maybe it could be defense vs ranged attacks and resist vs melee?

  4. Basically, being able to control water hovering a few inches from the body can be used as a form of ablative or reactive armor, I was reminded of this while re watching a show with a character who can use water in that exact same way, and thought it would be cool to have a water armor set.

Yes I know Ice armor can technically be Water in solid form, but I think most of us dont want to be encased in those chunks 100% of the time, and would prefer a more liquid theme.

Mechanically maybe it could be a defense focused set with a barrier clickie. because the water would be used to intercept incoming attacks, so the attacks which hit the water would not hit the character at all, which is more a defense theme than resist.

This sounds similar to the idea of "interrupt" mechanics from other MMOs.

    The way those work is:

    • Some raid bosses will use attack that take a long time to cast, and some of those can be interrupted.
    • Many or all players have a specific ability that interrupts attacks.
    • When the raid boss starts casting its big scary attack, somebody has to interrupt it or else bad stuff happens.

Looking at your idea, it seems like:

    • There is a new mez condition called "Hindered", that does nothing on its own.
    • Hindered is also not on the Purple Triangle list.
    • Some important enemies (and maybe players too) have a big, scary power that cannot be cast while "Hindered".
    • Controllers and Dominators get Mag 3 "Hinder" attached to some of their mez powers (unaffected by Overpower/Dominate).
    • Other ATs that get Con/Dom powers from Epics (or smth) also get "Hinder" attached to those powers.

    Is that accurate?

I like this version of the idea.

  6. How about every time you move a few feet in the game by any means- even teleport, you have a 50% chance to be knocked back that same distance, and each time you get knocked, there is a 25% chance everyone else in the game also gets knocked, and each time any of them get knocked, for each of them is a 10% chance of a random knock occuring to 20% of all players online, in 5 to 10 minutes, and if this occurs, the players get knocked across the room in real life.
