Bojutsu

Hi. I am going to make a character based on a baseball player (Andre Dawson). I plan to choose War Mace and use the baseball bat skin. I will give him the bird head/face and wings because his nickname is "The Hawk". The character name will be "Hawk Dawson". I was going to name him "The Hawk" but it is taken. I'm not sure what secondary to choose or which one fits best thematically. Of course I want to choose Shield, but that doesn't make any sense for a baseball player. Other sets such as Ice, Fire, Stone, Electric, Energy, Dark, Radiation, Bio, Ninjitsu didn't make much sense either. I was thinking Super Reflexes fits best thematically, since you must have very fast reflexes to hit a baseball thrown at 90+ mph. I read I may have some endurance issues, and I may be seeing an empty blue bar a lot. I can probably find a power pool to help with that, if it's true. I guess my next best choices are Willpower, or Invulnerability and Regen, but then I thought of Fire again. My character is a bird character and Rise of the Phoenix might be a cool power for him to have. I think the animation makes a bird-like phoenix shape. I will also get Consume to help with any endurance issues. Any thoughts, if anyone cares? Thanks! Global handle Bojutsu

Thanks for the responses. It is clear to me that I have some learning to do regarding the game. I haven't played since Live. I had a 50 Ninja Stalker back then, and I thought I remembered Placate putting me into a Hidden state, allowing me another crit, or another Assassinate if it recharged before the fight is over. I also have a weak understanding of "procs" and special enhancements. I don't think I ever used anything better than a Single Origin Enhancement.

Smoke Flash/Misdirection may not instantly put the player in hidden mode, but I wonder if it would last long enough to allow the stalker to become hidden and get another crit... I'll have to play around with it once I get all the powers I need.... even if it doesn't work out with that 3rd placate from Smoke Flash, it will be fun using Burnout to get back-to-back assassinations followed by an extreme damage crit from your t9 attack

Hi. I'm getting back into the game after 10+ years. In the past I would use a program called Mids Hero Designer or something similar. I did a search for that program, but it looked like it hadn't been updated since 2012. Is there a website that has a character builder feature, or is there a program I can download? Thanks everyone. I had an idea of how to quickly deal a very large amount of single target damage. If you are a /Ninjitsu Stalker, or if you take the power Misdirection from the Concealment pool, you will have 2 placate powers. Then include Burnout from the Speed pool, and maybe Adrenal Booster from the Experimentation pool for another Build Up type power. The power chain idea is - Build Up, Assassinate, Placate, Burnout, Build Up, Assassinate, Placate, Adrenal Booster, your t9 extreme damage attack (Golden Dragonfly for Ninja Blade, for example), Smoke Flash/Misdirection, your next strongest attack (Soaring Dragon for Ninja Blade, for example). It could be fun to try. I'm working on a Staff/Ninjitsu now.

The website here Concealment - Unofficial Homecoming Wiki says that Infiltration is +FlySpeed but I found out today that is inaccurate. It is only +run and +jump (and stealth and defense). I have a Blaster with Hover and I thought Infiltration would pair well with Hover as a stealthy travel power with a defense boost. While none of the travel methods would be super fast, I would be fairly fast at all three run, jump and fly. Unfortunately there is no fly speed increase with Infiltration. It all still works well together but not as well as I had imagined. Maybe this will help prevent someone some confusion.

Hello. Does anyone know if Wind Control will be added to the game? I have a Chicago concept character in mind, and a Wind Control/Storm Summoning powerset combination would work very well. Without Wind Control, I would create a Storm Summoning/Water Blast Defender (windy city/great lakes). This is a good combination, as the water effects do look cool with the Storm effects, but I think Wind Control would be a better fit thematically for the character and I'm sure the Wind effects will also look cool with the Storm effects.
