Hello. Would I be making a mistake by not taking Grant Cover? It seems like a selfish decision to make, especially if I'm on a team. Hello. Does anyone out there use Combat Teleport, or have previous experience with it? I've never taken it before, and I am considering getting it for one of my characters. How useful do you find it to be? If you are a Stalker, will you lose your Hidden status if you use it to initiate a fight? If it does cause the Stalker to lose their Hidden status, I guess I could work around it by Combat Teleporting somewhere nearby the enemies, but not within aggro/attack range, then initiate a battle with the to-hit bonus. However, if I have to do all that, I'd rather just use a yellow inspiration and get the same effect. Thanks for any responses. Global handle Bojutsu

I just created one of these myself. "The Electric Horseman" I also plan to take Spring Attack. I hear negative things about it, but I'm taking it for fun. I will also be taking Mu Mastery for more electric powers.

Hello. The Demon Summoning Mastermind gets a whip and three whip attacks. As far as I know, this is the only power set/power pool that has a whip. Was reminded that the "Thugs" power set has the character using pistols. I don't see this character using pistols. However, the whip from Demon Summoning would fit the character's style better. Plus, the whip is cool and exclusive to this set. I've never seen any whip powers anywhere else. A full whip power set would be a good idea. While there are no demons in the movie my character is from, I am leaning toward Demon Summoning now. I am not considering Mercenaries because I have read too many negative things about that power set. It also uses a gun anyway. Now it looks like Mr. Sender is going to be a Demon Summoning/Thermal Radiation Mastermind. Global handle Bojutusu most characters on Excelsior

I've decided that since there are no demons in the movie, the best fit will be Thugs. I think I will go with Thermal Radiation for my secondary. It looks like Mr. Sender will be a Thugs/Thermal Mastermind. Thanks again for the responses and ideas.

Thank you for the responses and ideas. I have decided he should be a Mastermind. Still haven't made a final decision on the power sets. Demon Summoning/Dark Miasma looks like a fun combination. It would be cool to add the Dark Servant to my demon pets. But then there's "Thugs" and I've always wanted to try out the power "Gang War". Edit - Thermal may be a good choice for a secondary, too...but I do like the idea of having another pet from Dark Miasma... Global handle Bojutusu

Hello. I am going to create a villain character based on this character played by Christopher Lee from the movie "The Stupids". Here is a YouTube video of the character The name "Sender" is taken but I was able to reserve the name "Mr. Sender". The joke is that when a piece of mail gets stamped with "return to sender" that he is the "Sender" the mail is being sent to. An evil plot to take people's mail. At first I thought the character fits the "Mastermind" title, but what power set would I choose? There isn't a powerset for mail carriers and trash collectors. I guess Thugs would make the most sense. Then I thought maybe a Controller or Dominator. I can name the pet "Drive Bee". As far as power sets, I was thinking maybe Mind Control, or maybe even Gravity Control. Then there's the secondary set... What do you think? How would you design the character? I had a Claws/SR many years ago on "live". Claws attacks recharge fast, so I thought I would be super fast with Super Reflexes and the power "Quickness" plus "Hasten". I do remember being very fast and efficient.

I thought the animation for Shield Charge didn't really look like a teleport attack. It is AoE though right? Thank you all a lot for the responses. I love playing Stalkers so I may be making an Elec/ Shield Stalker. Edit - I used to have a 50 Fire Tank. He was my first character ever. Burn was amazing at the beginning of the game. Then it was nerfed and enemies always ran away even when taunted. It sounds like it is back to being good again. I may try a Fire Scrapper this time.

Because I bet it has been a very popular power set combination. A lot of gun-fu/John Wick type of characters... I've been back to the game now for about a month after not playing for 10+ years. I've been having a great time. I have made 12 characters so far, and have plans for at least 2 more. I ask because I'm curious, and I'm going to make one myself. I was drawn to Martial Combat because it looks fun, especially Burst of Speed. Dual Pistols does seem like a good fit for Martial Combat, and it's still a new power set to me. Hello. I just noticed there are 2 Scrapper secondary power sets that offer a strong AoE attack. Radiation Armor and Shield Defense. I was looking at a Rad/Rad Scrapper build. I noticed that Radiation Armor has the power "Ground Zero" which does moderate AoE damage in melee combat. I thought how good it would be to have 2 good AoE attacks - "Atom Smasher" from Radiation Melee and "Ground Zero" from Radiation Armor. Then I saw the Shield Defense AoE melee attack, "Shield Charge", is even stronger than "Ground Zero". Now I'm thinking that an Electric/Shield Scrapper could have 2 superior damage teleport AoE attacks with "Lightning Rod" and "Shield Charge". One with knockback and one with knockdown. You will also have a high damage AoE attack with "Thunder Strike". If you get "Spring Attack" from the Leaping power pool, you will have THREE superior damage teleport AoE attacks...all 3 with knockdown or knockback. And "Thunder Strike". If only there were a way to magically add "Savage Leap" and "Burst of Speed" into the build...

I don't have a lot of Mastermind experience. If I can buff a pet with Mystic Fortune, I want to choose that power over Secondary Mutation (and Inner Inspiration). Thank you.

Hi biostem. Thanks for the response. Medicine and Leadership both sound like good ideas. The character probably won't look very detailed or flashy. I will probably try to make him look something like 1966 Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys. He is my favorite singer/songwriter/musician. Color scheme can be green and yellow, the color scheme for the album "Pet Sounds". His origin will either be Technology or Natural. Natural - hawks, ravens, wolves and lions are all natural things unlike robots or undead, for example Technology - the music and recording industry is full of technology Whichever I choose will be okay.

Hello. I plan on making a Mastermind with the name "Pet Sounds". If you don't already know, it is the title of an album by The Beach Boys. I plan on choosing Beast Mastery since wolves and lions are close to dogs and cats, the most common pets. I plan to choose Sonic Resonance as my secondary because of the sound waves. Beast Mastery offers 4 wolves and 2 lions that I can name. Two of the wolves will be named "Banana" and "Louie". Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys had 2 dogs named "Banana" and "Louie" and they are both featured near the end of the "Pet Sounds" album. One wolf will be named "Martha" after Paul McCartney's sheep dog. Another wolf will be named "David" or "Little David" after James Taylor's dog featured on the cover of his album "One Man Dog". One lion will be named "Telemachus" after Carole King's cat featured on the cover of her album "Tapestry". The other lion might be named "Firecat" after the Cat Stevens album "Teaser and the Firecat". I don't know what the lions look like yet. Hopefully they are yellow/orange so the name "Firecat" makes some sense. Although, I am hesitant to use this name because it may imply the lion has fire abilities and it doesn't. Unless I get the power pool "Enflame" power... Edit - I found a picture of the lions. The name "Firecat" may work...and getting "Enflame" might not be a bad idea... Any thoughts? Thanks again for all the responses. "Hawk Dawson" is currently in character creation for Excelsior. I have chosen Super Reflexes since I feel it fits best with the baseball player theme. Willpower was my 2nd choice... Also, yeah, War Mace is a one handed weapon, and the swings/animations won't look very baseball-like. However, there is no better option. It's good to know there is a baseball bat temp power I can add to my character. I do wish I could rename it the "Windy City Slammer".

Hi. I am going to make a character based on a baseball player (Andre Dawson). I plan to choose War Mace and use the baseball bat skin. I will give him the bird head/face and wings because his nickname is "The Hawk". The character name will be "Hawk Dawson". I was going to name him "The Hawk" but it is taken. I'm not sure what secondary to choose or which one fits best thematically. Of course I want to choose Shield, but that doesn't make any sense for a baseball player. Other sets such as Ice, Fire, Stone, Electric, Energy, Dark, Radiation, Bio, Ninjitsu didn't make much sense either. I was thinking Super Reflexes fits best thematically, since you must have very fast reflexes to hit a baseball thrown at 90+ mph. I read I may have some endurance issues, and I may be seeing an empty blue bar a lot. I can probably find a power pool to help with that, if it's true. I guess my next best choices are Willpower, or Invulnerability and Regen, but then I thought of Fire again. My character is a bird character and Rise of the Phoenix might be a cool power for him to have. I think the animation makes a bird-like phoenix shape. I will also get Consume to help with any endurance issues. Any thoughts, if anyone cares? Thanks! Global handle Bojutsu
