That simple change has been a game changer for me.
Instead of bubbling 14 bubbles every 4 minutes, you are doing 2, which means you have a lot more time to blast.
I also made some level 1 blasters, defenders, corruptors and sentinels -- and noticed that defenders are not doing 66% of the damage of blasters base, but are doing 90% base damage. Sentinels were doing 95% base damage of blasters. This was only level 1, but it's worth investigating.
Note : That is base damage, not counting the blasters inherent ability to ramp damage by having more attacks.
What this means, and I've noticed this from my playing -- is that you can bring some decent punch as a FF defender. I've got power bolt, power blast, and power burst each 6 slotted. I also have repulsion bomb 6 slotted and those are my main 4 attacks.
Currently I'm working on building out the psychic epic pool tree to give myself controller options as well. That way in a team I can decide if I want to fill the secondary role of blaster or controller. So far it's been great fun -- much more than I remember.
