    I don't think you'll ever turn it into an aoe powerhouse, but I don't see why that matters much. In a team you can off-tank and provide cold buff/debuff, which makes you pretty desirable even with less than stellar aoe damage.

     

    I run multiple builds for my ill/cold. The solo focused shares little in terms of powers, slotting goals, or playstyle to the teaming one. 

    I have fixed my build and went for non-proc based. I tested on pylons and managed to get sub 2 minutes without much effort (only T2 agility alpha and T2 degen interface) so I think its working out great! Thanks for all your help.

     

    Which Interface Incarnate do you reckon works best? Currently running degen

     

    1 minute and 20 seconds pylon now 😄 with T3 alpha and interface only

    Slot Spectral Terror with an Accurate Tohit Debuff set, not Will of the Controller. You want to enhance Spooky's -tohit, not his fear.

    I was more in it for the set bonus as I wanted the recharge and range defense. I am fully banking on PA tanking my hits for me. And yeah I took glacial super late, but probably shouldnt have, although I am aiming to play this guy in 50+ content anyways.

    I ask because it is unlikely you will have FFB up all the time with it only in a single mace power. So you are likely far away from perma PA/hasten in actual gameplay.

    It's fine to use FFB to reliably shave off a few seconds from long recharge powers, but I wouldn't personally bank on it for much more than that outside of some very specific builds designed to leverage it like /storm, or stone melee. 

     

    Gaussian in tactics is fine I guess. It doesn't go off very often and usually when out of combat.

    Achilies in sleet isn't the best.

     

    What are you finding your defenses and damage to be too low against? What are you trying to achieve that your ill/cold is currently struggling against?

    For instance I've solo'd most TF's in the game with an extremely low defense ill/cold build. It's not that defense isn't nice it just isn't as important on this particular build as it is on others imo.

     

     

    Dammit you're absolutely right. Its extremely hard to achieve decent uptime on PA. I'll have to rethink my whole thing. And thanks for the input on achilles on sleet and gaussian on tactics. Back to the drawing board!

    Thanks so much for this. How do you feel about your damage? both single target and AoE at end game? Is it still decent without proc spamming?

  5. Hi guys, trying to improve on my Ill/Cold. I recently changed from /Ice Mastery to Mace and was wondering how I can improve on it. With forcefeedback, I can get perma hasten and perma PA but I'm a little concerned about my defences and survivability. I would really appreciate any advice on how to make this build better for endgame content.

    Thanks for sharing. Looks legit for sure. I'd say mines a grade below that since I chose not to use any purples to save up. But i will probably slowly transition into something like yours once I have more inf!

    How are my defenses? Playstyle could impact this answer.

    • I like to get at least 40 Ranged for a ranged character.
    • For something still ranged but a little closer to the action or that will draw a lot of aggro from AoEs and debuffs, I like to get to 45+ somehow. 50 preferred with no Defense Debuff Resistance (ddr) protection.
      • (that less expensive build gets near 50+ to ranged/melee/aoe turning Stealth on)

    Budget: $500 mil is a good amount. Being patient with action house purchases can 1/2 the cost of a build.

    • ~120 slots x $2 million avg = $240M (cheeeeap)
    • ~120 slots x $4 million avg = $480M (good budget)
    • ~120 slots x $8 million avg = $960M (expensive)

    14 knockback status protection seems excessive.

     

    personally, I'd for "new-ish" and "budget" build I'd focus on survive-ability for a smoother leveling experience and knowing the perma pets will come later.

    You're right I should have specified a bit more. The character is already lvl 50. My budget is around 300-500 mil inf which I've been told is very little but thats what I have. How much knockback status protection do you reckon is enough? How are my defenses?

     

    Really, thanks again. It was very difficult for me and I have seen the build you posted before. I took a few things from it but I am obssessesed with perma minions (and hate MM)
