  1. No longer do I need to hear the Boom and the background humming from of my PBs shapeshifting or general use of powers. and very simple to do. Go to your COH folder find the data folder, create new folder called "sound", go into sound and create folder "ogg", in that folder create new folder "powers". (so that is coh/data/sound/ogg/powers) In the powers folder add 3 silent .ogg files named Nova4.ogg, Peaceeyes1.ogg, and Warshadeeyes3.ogg (don't have WS so only tested with PB) now when you play you do not need to mute/pop any aspirin ahead of time. can do this with more and found the .ogg needed to do this from : Attaching the blank .ogg I used also. 2. Some players probably don’t use the changeling setup simply because it’s not an obvious or clearly intended way to play. While the information is easy to find if you check the forums, it’s not exactly something the game itself guides you toward. And even for those who do know about it, most are likely turned off by the sheer input intensity and the constant 2 explosions per sec — it’s a lot to keep up with. Personally, I don’t use it much anymore either; the sound spam alone gets pretty deafening unless I mute the game. I’ll switch into changeling mode for AVs or GMs when I need the extra punch since it roughly triples my damage, but I’ve got a pretty unique keyboard setup that lets me swap between “normal” play and changeling. That involves 23 macros/binds and a completely different control layout than any other AT I’ve played. It’s also the only build I’ve ever seen people exclude when putting out LFM calls for teams, which really says a lot about how annoying the setup is for others.
  3. Look, I’m trying to play the piano here, not the organ. Sure, I can pull off changeling, but needing a convoluted keybinding setup and a flurry of inputs just to stay competitive is kind of the point — it shouldn’t take a concert organist’s fingerwork to make the AT perform. I’m not asking for it to be the Mozart of ATs, just for it to do better than maxing out at a third grader’s recorder recital if you don't changeling.
  4. Yeah, I’ve read through that thread and there’s a lot of good info in it. I just figured posting something here in Suggestions & Feedback might help get a bit more visibility. I’m honestly not sure what areas the devs keep an eye on the most, but more light on the subject can’t hurt. Part of why I wanted to bring it up here is that it sometimes feels like Kheldians are stuck in a bit of a chicken-and-egg situation — maybe they haven’t gotten a real revamp because they’re not played much, but they’re probably not played much because they’ve never gotten that much-needed revamp.
  5. Costume option would be great with me, even when not running as a changeling I still swap forms often.
  6. Right now, Changeling play-style makes Kheldians do crazy damage because it cancels animation time — basically an exploit. Without it, they’re weaker than every other AT, which is probably why they’re the least played archetype in CoH. Their current Inherent bonus does basically nothing when soloing and often underwhelms in groups unless you happen to have just the right mix of ATs. A few ideas to make them competitive without relying on exploits: Damage boosts – Each form could get slightly higher base damage or scaling so they actually hit like they’re supposed to. Nova could be treated more like a pseudo-blaster, and Dwarf could remain the Tank/Brute melee form. Animation tweaks – Form swaps could also be smoother, since switching forms right now feels clunky and slows down combat when not running the changeling animation cancelling binds. Inherent – Make the Inherent bonus actually matter solo and give it some meaningful impact in, rewarding form swaps or combos. For example, swapping out of Nova could grant a short damage boost, or swapping from Dwarf could provide brief mez protection. Final note: whether Changeling is patched or not, form changing shouldn’t be a huge explosion every time — it’s jarring and unnecessary every swap. Overall, Kheldians should feel flexible and fun, not just weak because they’re a jack-of-all-trades.
  7. Changeling gives both your fingers and your ears a workout for sure. I have not done PB for very long and getting pretty good but in its current state really do feel like I need to do 5 times the work and 5 times the ear bleed to produce same results as an avg blaster/scrapper. whether or not they remove ability to do changeling style with a revamp it would be nice to have the explosion go away when changing forms (or at least ability to remove when tailoring)
  8. Nice write up, I also do like my Grav/FF but haven't added Grav Dis Field to build yet since the change as felt it was a waste before. Thats coming from someone the does take Detention field, though I take that mainly for MoM Itrials as if I WH two voids on Penny I can put one in time out for 30 seconds which perfectly lines up with when you'll need your next void. when Soloing and want to take extra care I also love dropping Dimension shift on a group and then TPing the Sing right in the middle, takes away all risk of an alpha strike from them I feel when I add Gravity distortion field to my build I'll have to try adding repulsion field also, never much cared for it as unlike hurricane when slotting a KB>KD it loses repel. wish it kept that part
  9. Thanks everyone for the feedback, This is updated that I've tested, dropped Fighting pool as it was just making what I wanted to tight. Went with Gale still as with that and jet stream does a pretty good job and keeping a group bouncing when needed. While I know most only End slot Hurricane decided to Hami 2slot as that give -52 tohit debuff, may as well have more than needed if things get bad as I no longer have fight pool. Dropped some procs, even the -res proc in Freezing Rain as while testing with a Damage proc I saw near zero triggers even when summoning the rain on large groups, so don't see any benefit. Overall while running a couple missions it feels a big improvement. Zorm Defender (Storm Summoning - Storm Blast).mbd
  10. Hello, not overly happy with this build yet. 1. Not sure how to Slot Storm cell. seen it 3 slotted and 6 slotted. does dmg and procs matter in this power? or basically just need recharge in it to be able to move it around quickly from fight to fight? 2. Gust, Gale, or Snow Storm? Gale was what I have currently, 4 slotted with acc, Dmg proc, FF proc and kb>KD and not impressed it seems a waste 2.17 seconds to use. Thinking probably just 1 slot throw away power? 3. keep adjusting what powers need and don't need kB>KD as Storm cell seems to tack on a KB to every power. Any Suggestions would be Great! Visually loving the combo but having me scratching my head on how to make it more viable. Thanks, Zorm Defender (Storm Summoning - Storm Blast).mbd
  11. Never tried it on Beta and guessing a few people have a maxed out build already Looking to make one because AR/DEV Blaster is one of my favorites. Anyone have a build they like and willing to share to give me some ideas? Thanks!
