  1. Great thanks
  2. Wait some servers offer an XP bonus? And I’ve seen stuff about the winter packs. Is that like a seasonal event thing? I do remember chasing around seasonal bosses roaming the zones back in the day
  3. Both are new power sest to me as I stopped before going rogue came out. I played an Ice/axe tank during CoH release but that’s my only tanking background. I want to do solo content and I’ve always run ranged high damage toons but the new power sets intrigue me and I’ve read a few things about bio and rad and I’m torn. I’m trying to have it all. Good aggro for herding because if I ever run with another person their playstyle would make Leroy Jenkins look laid-back and reserved. Good aoe damage while solo. Again my biggest fear is going from my blaster nukeing style to what will be more of slower melting of enemies. The survivability for massive pulls. I know trying to go for a higher damage build inevitably means some sacrifices to survivability, or at least reaching caps. But I’m not looking to build a scrapper. I want to be able to face tank stuff the quickest way that’s logical. While I don’t doubt that most power sets can tank just fine if built well. So if Rad and Bio come close to a draw then my deciding factor would come to how fun and how pretty the powers look. Power color customization is all new to me and I’ll be damned if I’m gonna play a SS tank with no pretty colors to change on my attacks. Lastly Bio or Rad may lend themselves to one secondary or another I just kinda assume fire is the king of aoe (appently SS making a showing now too) but I know squat about the half dozen new melee power sets and no idea what I want there. Thanks in advance and it’s good to see there is still a thriving community.
  4. I’m going to make a tank just so I can be the Caveat
  5. I should have thought about this. CoH was prob the only game I didn’t run two accounts on. Thanks
  6. Oh my goodness that’s amazing thank you so much. *Ha ya hitchhikers was my fav 5 book trilogy growing up
  7. Quick easy question can multiple sentinels stack vulnerability on a target?
  8. So I haven’t played since before going rogue came out so there are all kinds of new powers classes mechanics etc I want to mess around with. So I’m looking for the go to way to lvl up quick solo after so much content has come out. From grinding zones or the best missions I should try to be finding as I’ve gotten about 3 toons to lvl 12 before I get impatient and want to see new powers. I knew a million and one ways to PL other people but I always had a high lvl toon to repay the favor for someone helping me PL an alt. Any suggestions on getting my first to end game content quickly in a mostly (if not entirely) solo fashion?
  9. Wonder, thanks for the advice. I’m looking forward to seeing how this toon lvls up, but at least it sounds like a viable power set pairing so that makes me happy. I spent way to long making a little purple and black themed puff ball of dark energy I named “Dusk Bunny”
  10. I ran a dark/sr scrapper as my main back in the day and I remember SR being one that really wanted all 9 and bio looked like it was going to be in that boat. I’m sure SR sentinel has better defense than bio but I wanted something new. I know Bio (and any resistance or regen defense) is better the larger your HP pool and therefore any resistance will most likely struggle more than defense on a sentinel. I plan to try to hover blast a good bit but I also plan to solo almost exclusively so is Tough and weave recommend? I guess the idea is to not be in melee range so I’m trying to plan on what will keep me safe if I get knocked out of the air and have to fight face to face (or face to ankle my toons pretty short) *edit one other question. For bio on a sentinel is most of the time spent in offensive for a little extra kick to damage or defensive so the regen and HP are boosted enough for it to be sustainable
  11. So I played CoH when it first came out and stopped sometime around when they first added bases. Needless to say there were no sentinels but there are new power sets and mechanics that are all new to me, bio armor being one of them. I saw the sentinel’s dark power set gets a new aoe and while thematically I wanted to go dark/dark I just don’t like the dark defenses and Bio look amazing. The actual question: For a dark/bio sentinel what do I really want out of bio set as the powers I take will be influenced by if I’m mainly running the Offense/defense/conservation I don’t really know how good armor will be on this new class but I’m assuming lower% or similar to a a scrapper. and any thoughts about dark? I know it felt very single target before not sure if one new aoe power will change that.
