    I don't think every Scrapper set needs taunt aura. I think the game just needs to fix the terrible AI feeling engine that forces enemies to run away if they take 10 ticks of damage within a certain amount of time.

    I agree with that, as Ninja defense has no taunt either, which makes sense considering its a stealth based powerset, which is why I noted the Energy Aura set which gets both stealth and and taunt, for some reason. It's also a set that focus on avoiding damage.  Out the three major defense sets SR always seemed like the more confrontational of the powersets, which is why Tanks and Brutes get it, so I figured scrappers could use a taunt aura on it. If you wanna go taunt aura less there's the stalker option.

    Super Reflexes is based around avoiding attacks and not drawing them to you. It was one of the original power sets in CoH.

     

    I think all the scrapper primaries have a power to pull a single target and all (or most of them) have AoE and/or Cone powers to draw agro even if they don't have a threat component.

     

    I like Super Reflexes the way that it was designed.

     

    The scrapper archetype isn't built to be an agro magnet - that was intentionally limited to tanks up on release of the game and then given to brutes so villains would have an agro magnet in their archetype picks..

     

    If you look a the scrapper AoE powers that have a taunt component, they are usually doing more of something else and are generally too weak to hold the agro if a blaster is AoE-ing or cone-attacking things.

    Scrapper taunt is nowhere near as powerful as a tank. Brute taunt isn't as powerful as a tanks, but they still have a more powerful innate taunt than scrappers.

     

    Tanks can have super reflexes at this point, but even they don't get a taunt aura, but, then again, the whole point of super reflexes is not to get hit in the first place ... so why are you trying to attract agro?

    That being said, unless you are just end gaming and trying to draw excessive numbers, the tanker taunt with a recharge in it does enough threat to hold the agro on most mobs continually.

     

    As I said it would be mainly for soloing reasons, its just annoying as hell to have to run around the map chasing half a dozen enemies that run away from you in every fight.  And Tankers do get the taunt aura, as do brutes.

SR is a fun powerset, but I've found it to be annoying on scrappers due to its lack of Taunt aura.  Evasion gives taunt for brutes and tanks but not for scrappers or stalkers; and when soloing its annoying as hell to chase down half the enemies your fighting as they go running randomly throughout the map. 

     

    Even Energy Aura gets a taunt, and a stealth, which can be a little hypocritical.

When running an Savage Melee Tank I've noticed the Blood Frenzy passive is supposed to provide a damage bonus per stack and a an endurance discount per stack.  The endurance discount is applying normally but the damage bonus isn't.   Note that the 15% base damage bonus I have is from the offensive booster you get from the P2W Vendor.

  5. So we were talking on General in Everlasting when we came up with some ideas on the TW/Scrapper issue.  Since we know it's getting changed as it is currently OP as hell I thought I would post some of the thoughts here to get some more feedback.

     

    One of the major issues with TW on Scappers is the combination of Mechanics that allow them to do insane amounts of damage in a brief amount of time.  This is a combination of the Momentum mechanic, the Scrapper ATO that grats a +50% crit rate and the damage spike and instant momentum provided by build up.   My TW/BIo has Gaussians +chance for buildup on my Build Momentum, which means I can get a 200% damage spike, and a +50% crit proc with defensive sweep.  The number of attacks I can execute in that time is what makes the overall set just insaine. 

     

    So the Idea was to adjust how momentum works, rather than having you hit once and suddenly have the cast times of several abilities reduced to 0, each attack reduces the cast time of your abilities for a few seconds.  The effect would stack, say Defensive sweep reduces cast time by 15-20%, then Titan sweep or Crushing Blow reduces by 20-25%.  Once you hit 100% you gain momentum and all your cast times are instant for a few seconds then you reset. Basically momentum is something you have to accumulate rather than just instantly given.  This makes it much less likely you're going to proc your +50% crit rate at the start of your momentum, but it is still possible. 

     

    Another concept is to change the function of Build Momentum, of course it would have to be renamed. But a couple ideas were to have its damage buff reduced but instead have it grant a higher crit chance, say 5-10% for a few seocnds, and/or have it reset the cooldowns on all TW abilities.

     

    Anyway, just some ideas on general chat in hopes that TW doesn't get nerfed too far into the ground. 

  6. A couple of requests from an RP geek.

     

    Text limit increases:

    On Bios, character names, tells, and team/league/supergroup chat.  Local and main chat channels like broadcast, help, LFG, etc can remain limited.  I know some RP'ers would post entire novels in local when given a chance and not everyone wants to read through that, but for more private communications go for it.  Also useful for discussing raids, tactics, giving advice, etc.    When creating channels the admin of the channel could decide whether it uses the new or old text limit.

     

    More Costume slots:

    Merit or Pw2 Vendor.  like 3-5 merits per slot, or like 100K inf.
