TerroirNoir's "Cable Channel of AE!" Reviews. Part 2.
SirArthurIV replied to TerroirNoir2's topic in Mission Architect
Heh. Nobody wants to do the Synapse Task Force. -
In my first arc it only happened on the first rescue captive then behaved normally for the rest of the rest of the captives, even though they all spawned at the same time.... When I tie it to spawn on a different objective it speaks when the first objective is completed regardless of distance. This requires further testing. Well that didn't work. Oh well. I guess it wasn't that important anyway. If people notice it, they notice it.

Traveller is my absolute personal favorite RPG.

In this case it's mostly a joke, but it's also a joke I'm kind of proud of.
-
Alright then. I'll test it on various maps, but I will try not to include any vital information in it.

I'm having an issue where dialogue is happening from too far away. I'll have a captive or an escort and they start doing their unnaware and active dialogue well before the player can see them. Like, as soon I reach the floor and the dialogue gets lost int he hubbub of combat. Is it something in MY settings or is it some other issue and I need a different stage?

Mission Architect Sunday Special: Story based teaming in AE!
SirArthurIV replied to ZamuelNow's topic in Mission Architect
Oh sure, I use them, but not often and I never try to do anything too fancy with them. And I usually never feel comfortable pubishing them unless I've tested them a hundred times. -

I have the most problems like this in Unique Maps. So I use them as minimally and with as few objectives as possible. -
Coalition of Creators: Mission Architect.
SirArthurIV replied to Blackbird4329's topic in Mission Architect
If you think it's that good, sure. It's my first one so it's VERY rough in places, and not verry ambitious aside from getting a few basic techniques down and figuring out how things might work for later.- 23 replies

Coalition of Creators: Mission Architect.

Well my first arc was something that was mostly made for the supergroup I'm in that knows one of my characters, although I have gotten more broadly positive comments here and there. The next one I'm building is more ambitious with a new custom gang *that is occupying most of my time building, not just for balancing and testing, but ensuring that they look diverse enough so I'm not dealing with an army of clones), and while technically, a sequel, it will be more intended to play on its own. Anyway, rambling preamble out of the way, here's the first arc: Arc ID: 68851 Title: The Angelo Custode Conspiracy My game handle is: @Blazing Pyre My primary shard is: Everlasting- 23 replies

Wealth redistribution system to help new players
SirArthurIV replied to Intermipants's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime. Also influence being, essentially destroyed once it reaches the top is good for the overall economy of the game. If every newbie had a way to access a billion inf even if it works as intended, it would drive up the prices of basically everything in the market and make influence worth even less than it already is. n00bs don't know how to spend their inf wisely, especially in a blind-auction economy. -
I have a character that's inspired by black bolt in that she has no control over her dangerous sonic voice. I mostly write "/e signs <whatever she was going to say>" keeping phrases simple to communicate quickly. Or do my best to communicate what she wants "/e points to the bottle of Crown behind the bar and holds out two fingers horizontally. Then she makes a fist". if the bartender understands that she wants "two fingers of crown royal on the rocks", great. if not, she'll shrug and take the drink anyway. Being misunderstood is part of the fun of playing that character. if she makes friends with someone, she'll send them text messages via tells or team chats in a group.

I'm making a gang for my scenario and am having trouble with the tedious aspects of it. Namely I want the gang to have diverse members and not be simply clones of eachother. The only way I have found to do this is create identical enemies with the same name, powers, and other trappings and just change the skin tone, size, and little body shape aspects on them. Is there a way to implement some level of shortcut or randomization in this aspect so I don't drive myself nuts on this minutia?

I would really like a Mitre in the hat options. I have a few villain and character ideas that would look good with it. I dont' know how plausible it is, but sleeves without robes? I kind of want to do a simple choir robe but all the options look like a martial artist or some other complicated thing.

Architect Entertainment - Content Ideas

Nope. They don't show up in the list of available factions to make a list from. only in the list of available bosses.
