I don't think so....it was from sometime in the 2004-2007 range. The gameplay had more planet based maps. I want to say it was related to Flyff or it was available on the same website... Ace Online! that was it. looking it up...oh shit is it not dead? Well, looking it up in the form I remember it as, it's certainly not the same game now. But Looking at old screenshots and gameplay that was it.

I remember that there was one MMO that had a sort of starfox/rogue squadron gameplay style around the time city of heroes was active. I can't remember the name of it.

If you can still access and play the game it isn't dead. You can load into the map and run around and fight mobs. Like if you can have it installed on your computer and cannot play it, that's what qualifies as dead. Wildstar is Dead. Nosgoth is Dead. The Crew is Dead. Battleforge is Dead. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex First Assault Online is Dead.

If you like horror movies you HAVE to see The Descent (especially the director's cut/unrated cut if you can find it) A group of women go spelunking and run into trouble. It's a horror movie that is simple, closed, and absolutely terrifying. -
Not really the sort of thing I'm talking about. I mean a game that can no longer be played by the people purchased it. It looks like you can still buy and play that one. Unless steam is asking 6 dollars for a game you can't play.

I just got my 6th slot for Sudden Acceleration and while I have noticed the 7.5% global recharge reduction I'm a bit underwhelmed by the effect of knockback to knockdown. is there some aspect to the effect that I am missing? Should I unslot and switch to force feedback, or is there something that I am not seeing?

I'm not talking about games that don't have anyone playing them anymore. I mean games that have been killed by the developer. Nosgoth was an amazing asymmetrical arena shooter. One team played as vampires and another as vampire hunters. Each vampire could take on a hunter 1v1 but that encouraged hunters to team up and take down the vampires. The vamps had abilities that would try to isolate the hunters while the hunters had area control abilities that would keep the vamps coming in from predictable angles. It was a great game that relied a lot on teamwork, map knowledge and communication. For such an asymmetrical game it was remarkably balanced between the sides with winrates being pretty much 50/50 for the entire run. It's a shame that it is IMPOSSIBLE to run a 4v4 arena shooter locally in he unreal engine. Can't possibly be done so it had to die./s

Well that is a shame. I don't think some calm walking patrols of scientists will blend with the idea of a smash and grab of a person of interest. Maybe I can use non-essential quests of rescues being menaced by Arachnos soldiers trying to also find hte person but then it also breaks the story a bit since the players are being hired by arachnos. maybe a rival cell, or would that be too complicated to introduce in part 3 of a 5 part mission?

Every so often in a mission you will get npc civilians running around scared, and I was an option in AE to get that added in or a way to cheat it in. Creating a "Kidnapp a Scientist" mission and think it would be better visual storytelling if there were other scientists working in the lab that you are breaking into.

The Vahzilok Pollutant Plot flashback give 35 merits for 4 door missions which I think is the fastest to solo (about an hour if you're lazy about it) and the least annoying and accessible at a low level. Set level to -1, run it twice, Grab Luck of the Gambler(+recharge) and sell on AH for a quick 5mil.

One thing I would really like is the ability to include Narration boxes. Like how other missions in game do comm chatter. I feel like being able to trigger that would let you add story in a way that doesn't require you to rely on mission text. The ability to add in announcement text or audio changes to throw in an orchestral sting for a dramatic moment or exciting dramatic moments when initiating a countdown. One more thought occured. Would it be possible to add a debuff until a mission is complete like in certain vashilok story arcs? -
I was musing earlier about RP bios and my method for writing them. A particular thought entered my brain. What aspects of someone's bio or appearance makes you want to approach them for RP? And what are the best opening lines to initiate with someone else? How do you incorporate what they write into the interaction? I always feel awkward approaching people and could always use tips to get that opening "hey" out of the way. Usually, I come up with a character design I like then build the backstory of the character justify the appearance. It's like I reverse engineer a story for how I want them to look as wyswyg is my default consideration and it's easier to work backwards.

If I am playing a long arc I prefer it to be serious. Joke arcs tend to wear thin by the third mission. Granted my preferred story-based stuff is character focused for a player that I know and have an IC connection to.

Alright I don't know how that option eluded me, but thank you. Is there a way to make the map not have any enemies in it until the ambush is triggered? is there a way to trigger multiple consecutive ambushes to harass the player on their way out? -
I feel like the Thug move-set would fit better for the RIP and PPD skin. Mercenaries could be Longbow, Crey and Arachnos.

I am trying to make a mission that is similar to Shauna Stockwell's Shut Down the Superdyne Den where you go through an empty warehouse and have to defeat an ambush on the way out after touching a glowie in the back end and you don't get a "mission complete" until you exit out the front door.
