Menu -> Options -> Apply Now is always blinking. I tried turning off my tooltips and the effect was immediate; that is I didn't need to click Apply Now.

In the Ourorboros mission, "Find a cure for the outbreak plague," the map was not drawing or updating correctly. It was not removing fog of war in some places; it had invisible walls where there needn't have been some (so close to the zone border); and it was not keeping me centered in the map. It scrolled all the way left as if I flew to another page of the map. This may be an effect of the larger problem that lots of UI things don't work at playing at 200% UI scale (3840x2160), such as power descriptions text on my enhancements overview page, facets of the SG base editor (although I can't say they work at regular resolution), and others.

Glad to know I can turn off the Kheldian hot bar. That I can map keys for my right hand is not useful to me playing without looking at the keyboard. Ctrl-Alt something doesn't work because the code doesn't allow it. That's why this is a coding suggestion post. A user-selected meta shortcut key (e.g., Caps Lock) is possible just like other games do it with a coding change.

I would like to be able to have more than 3 rows of key-pressable shortcut keys. Certainly the number of powers a person might want shortcut-key access to is a lot more than the 18 I can reach with my left hand fingers (e.g., 1-6, Shift 1-6, Alt 1-6). The key mapper will not allow any of the following meta shortcut key combinations: Ctrl-Alt X, Ctrl-Shift X, Alt-Shift X, Ctrl-Alt-Shift X, or the setting of a couple custom ones like would be the case if I could select Caps Lock as a meta shortcut key—that is, holding down Caps Lock + (pressing and letting up) 1-6. It would also help if the bar that appears when I have Superjump on was more useful than having 1 power and 9 empty slots. I'm a right-handed mouse user if it isn't obvious. My main is an MM with the potential for a lot of custom macros for pets which I have 0 of right now, because I'd have to click them instead of use a shortcut key, which isn't fast enough, but right now isn't even possible because I lose track of my mouse pointer in the huge visual mess of combat. Making larger size cursors work at my graphics settings would be nice (3840x2160 UI Scale=200%).

If the text is out of context, or could be specific, but is not, the text is inadequate—something that could be improved. i.e., a bug, albeit from a game designer's point of view, not necessarily from a programmer's point of view who wants his code to do what he intended it to do (which no one else knows, btw). Perhaps this base post should have been in Suggestions.

Yesterday I was a participant in a team of 8 doing Admiral Sutter's Task Force. I believe my level was reduced to 24 for the TF. I'm a beast mastermind, which at that level, should (re)summon 3 Tier 1 pets (wolves), 1 Tier 2 pet (big cat), and the Tier 3 pet (dire wolf). In the part of the TF with all the ships, outdoors, and indoors, I could only successfully summon 1 wolf. The exception was when I was in the hospital—I was able to summon them all just fine. Otherwise, interestingly, when I tried summoning my dire wolf, an ice boulder animation happened and instead of solidifying into a dire wolf (or an ice boulder), it exploded. When I first entered this zone, it brought all my pets successfully, and when I stepped out of the hospital, it took all my pets with me. It was only when I tried summoning them because they had died that it wouldn't work. I didn't run into these summoning problem in any other part/mission of the TF.

The fact that the effectiveness of an IO doesn't change as my level changes is useful information, but not really the most relevant issue when someone is trying to combine enhancements. What I want to do, and what this message should pertain to, is about raising the level of the enhancement. Perhaps the cyan text in the lower green circle should just be removed. Also, at the top, if an IO can't be combined with ANYTHING then it should just say so—like it does in the tooltip in red.

At the end of the countdown bar from clicking to open a capsule, I can back away quickly enough that the mobs never aggro. This probably "should not be." This is with Sprint and Athletic Run on (my travel power is Superjump).

Teleport Target / Foe on Brainstorm not working
Futuregirl replied to Futuregirl's topic in Bug Reports
This is the explanation. Thanks. -
I tried Teleport Target on the Brainstorm server and it didn't behave like the description for it. (I've never had it before.) I can't cast it unless I first select a target, but after I do, it gives me the glowy circle used to select a location (such as I see when using Rain of Fire and iirc Combat Teleport). The max range from me the circle can be is around 15 feet—less than the aggro range for the mob. When I cast it under a mob, I get some graphics effects, but it doesn't teleport the mob and I can't tell what it is doing. Also, the "detailed" info in the enhancement window shows the name of this power as "Teleport Foe."

No map window zoom slider & bad default map size in window
Futuregirl replied to Futuregirl's topic in Bug Reports
User interface secret of the ancients revealed! Thank you! However, if people who knew about the slider looked at the snapshot and didn't see it, I have to think that slider is an epic user interface failure. Perhaps making it more obvious or actually *gasp* providing in-game UI help is called for, although I acknowledge that in-game documentation about the UI is an absurd hope these days. 🙂 -
Perhaps there is an options setting that I changed without realizing its effects. As it is, detaching and resizing the map doesn't make a slider appear.
-
That's a good question. I am using the one that installs with Homecoming. I'm not using any mods.
-
Re: Greycat Tried all those suggestions and more. No slider exists for me. I have yet to try reinstalling the game, although it shouldn't be necessary if "verify" works. I don't believe no black border would be attractive, but the way it is now is "broken." Fixing the whole issue with the map filling the map window would also fix the Cimerora map being too zoomed in.

I've never seen a slider at any size map in any graphics mode. I tried turning off my UI scaling as well as changing my graphics mode (4k vs 2k, Windowed, Borderless, etc.) and it still isn't there. I don't know what else to try to get a slider to appear. Also, however, without a zoom modification, the default should be that the map fills the window as much as possible while retaining its aspect ratio. See post Fill map window with actual map for context and a screen snapshot.
