    Rad/Fire help

Thank you for the in depth response, going to run this. I play an elec blaster and use ball lightning all the time so I really want it for farming, that slotted aoe is perfect for the job.
  2. Thank you, that might be what it is. I never checked what the mobs were, just saw they were purple and giving me lots of xp/inf. I do think I set it to no AVs/bosses at first.
  3. I've been farming for a few weeks now, mainly Bloody Rainbow. Pretty easy now that my build is solid. Play at 4/8. So today I invited a friend so I could PL him. I died fast and I typically don't come close to dying. Just wondering what happened. My friend was level 15. I tried a city farm and same thing, I can't last even through one group even using a couple purples. How did adding 1 player to the team do this? Is this normal? I can understand maybe a little higher difficulty but this was significant, almost like I had no fire defense at all. Even double-checked my toggles and everything.
  4. Blanca (SF2) style roll charge at a target at range. Although not a "new"power, new effects like finishing moves. Like, doing an uppercut that kills a target does like an SF2 dragon punch that does some aoe to close mobs. Or if a mob is frozen on kill hit, they explode and ice shards hurt enemies at close range. A fire hit causes a mob to explodein flames and hurts close range. With claws, a kill hit slices them in half. Things like that.
  5. I came back about a month ago. Ourouroubos has been my favorite. I started at level 30 and am level 41 and about 70% through 15-19. I really wish that was how you could play the storyline. It's fun to see the arcs but since they don't have any impact on your specific story, like loyalists vs resistance, it loses some luster. But when playing normally, I realized I was just leveling too fast to go through the proper story mechanics. Going through the story the natural way is just too disjointed. I know I can stop XP and there are some guides but that's just not inviting. If they could make the story structure more pointed and "on rails" naturally, I'd be excited about creating new toons and making different decisions. It would extend the life so that when I do hit 50, I have more options to play through the story several times or do level 50 things. I'm sure this has been brought up and don't want to say negatives about the time traveling, though. It's great and so much content.
  6. I multi-box mainly because I play during normal work hours when I'm on monitoring duty, so I have to go afk at a moment's notice...sometimes frequently. But I still like an active group to learn things from, just chat with, etc. Would you be open to recruting my trio?
  7. In my team of 3 at level 30, if my Defender dies I can tell immediately. I run a Tanker and Blaster with it. I had a mission to kill a boss but it didn't tell me to clear the map first. I had easily 30 mobs or more rush me from white to orange. I was scrambling trying to get to a spot I liked and was maintaining...chaotically, but for a good time and my Tanker was absorbing major damage. Apparently an orange was hitting my Defender without me noticing and died after I had a handful down. My Blaster immediately started dipping in health and it took all my pops to survive. By the end, Blaster was dead too and my Tanker had nothing left. I know that isn't the pro-level group you were with but my Force Defender keeps me alive in the "Oh shizz!" moments, and collateral damage to my non-meat shields is almost non-existent most of the time so far. I will say though that in normal missions while just grinding, the Defender is mainly there for extra damage/debuffs...which are starting to make a big impact. I'm assuming when I get to higher levels those debuffs are going to really play a role.
  8. Thanks all, appreciate the input. I went with FF/Water. I wanted to try MM but I've read their pets can struggle at endgame. I probably won't be doing any endgame but I'm just used to making choices that favor it in case. I also wanted Empathy because I like more traditional healing but targeting quickly in boxing is not my strong suit.
  9. I am multi-boxing at times and want to add my final option (3rd toon) as a support character. Right now, I have a Stone/Ice Tanker (my first toon ever back in the day and I loved it so recreated it), and an Electric/Dark Blaster. They are doing fine in my playstyle, just wanting to add a support character to help. I am not good at doing all the key mappings and such. I use visual FX and just depend on controlling each toon by directly clicking powers. Which Defender is best for being the most effective with the lowest amount of attention? Or is there another class that is better for this? I know there are debates over whether healing is better than buffs/debuffs. I don't mind either strategy, I just need one that involves the least amount of attention, like a class that has a lot of toggles instead of pops. I am a casual player who is just doing storyline missions when I box, so I'm not farming or doing anything special...just plain old grinding missions/levels. Thank you!
