    The answer is simple: procs

    Check Hjarki build it's full of procs in Burn, Irradiated Ground and Atom Smasher....I have them in Blazing Aura and Electric Fences as well on my build.

     

     

    This: I can't overstate the difference in using procs in Burn and IG especially. I pack them with as many procs as possible. You hit burn and bosses just disappear...

    I just picked this up on a Corrupter to help bump the defenses up a bit but the power never applies the defense bonus when enemies are within range (8 feet). The passive regen boost is working though.

    Help Me Build a Farmer

    The thing I love about Fire armor is you can invest next to nothing and hit the fire cap leaving you with a lot of options to get creative elsewhere.

     

    After I raise a couple more concept toons to 50 I plan on slotting an alternate build on my Spines/Fire to make it more proc heavy.

     

    Honestly though of all my farming toons Rad/Fire/Pyre is hands down my fastest.

     

    For some reason I can't post builds and get a template error when I try.

     

    Any suggestions for a Savage Melee/Bioarmor?

    Tbh deleting it was the right choice, Savage I found it underwhelming at higher lvls while Dark Melee gave me all the survivability I lacked before with Siphon Life. Can't be happier with my DM/Bio, the dmg is incredible and he's tough as nails.

     

    <akes sense, SL is available at level 8 you're getting an active heal really early which goes a really long way.

     

    DM is actually really nice with Bio, Dark Consumption and Soul Drain are very good in dealing with minion fodder and Genetic Cont. should take care of the leftovers. The - To Hit pairs nicely with Bio's defense. Midnight Grasp and Siphon Life are heavy hitters and SL gives you a 4th heal.

     

    Out of curiosity, how often do you have DC and SD up?

    Physical Perfection Slots - Fire Farm

    That all depends on what you're falling short on, if anything. Do you have other powers to compensate like heals or +end?

     

    Personally I throw PS +end in mines as I feel I need the healing procs earlier on so I throw those into Health, and I never use more than the default slot.

    Echo Erratic1,

     

    Although peoples play styles factor in any sets viability, Bio is one of my favorite armors. It's a "Jack of all trades" set IMO. I had one at 50 and can tell you it isn't squishy and I would solo +4 x8 on everything except Arachnos mobs.

     

    Deleting the toon in the 20s was probably way too soon. Three core powers from Bio aren't available until 28+ and unless you were rocking catalyzed enhancements you weren't taking advantage of set bonuses.

     

    If you have the patience you should try anything/Bio. My personal favorites Spines, Staff, Savage Melee, Rad. Soon I'll add TW to the list.

    Help needed - Staff/Bio Armor

    I had a Staff/Bio Brute back in the day whose build was on a PC that I need to try and recover data from. Sadly I didn't put my builds in the cloud. Not sure what I was thinking by only putting the numbers in Google Drive, but here they go.     Here's my take. To be honest I had to put my 'feel' to the build. By that I mean I tend not to do things like slot more than the default in my build up or travel powers. I did however have  'extra' slots so I threw in some Kismets, Regen tissue, Impervium Armor and Pounding Slug fest.

     

    There are a few shortcomings that can be plugged with Alpha and Hybrid Incarnate powers later on.

    Im a noob and took a bad build to lvl 50 to farm.... Energy/shield need IO help!

    Energy I think only has one multi target power, Shield has one offensive one as well. IMO you need more than that to be effective. With that said, whether or not it is the 'wrong' combo is subjective. There's nothing wrong with that combo but there are others that are way more efficient.

     

    I've been playing this game since beta and can't ever recall seeing as many Spines/Fire or Fire/Spines combos. They are good and kill pretty fast.

     

    Since you're new I'd suggest you go an alternate route and choose Bio Armor. Spines, Staff, Titan Weapons and Savage Melee are really good. I will try to locate my builds but I took all these builds to 50+ to break up the farming monotony.

     

    Spines/Bio is the only one I re-created so far. He has no problem farming any of the fire farms although my preference are the Comic Con farms. He also has no issue on S/L farms (Comic Con S/L version). Occasionally when I need quick normal XP rates I breeze through the Unai Kenan Council mission a few times.

     

    All these are done at +4/x8 and my only regret is that there is an aggro cap.

    Seriously, this is way not cool.  I may not have had as much as some farmers, but that was around 6 mil with of stuff.  All gone.  Just starting out, that hurts.

     

    Edit: Relogged onto same toon, it's all back.  YAY

     

    A sense of nervousness just washed over me. This has happened to me before although I didn't have much in the AH, but now I have tens of millions in influence tied up, rares for sale, stored items etc.

     

    Fingers crossed this isn't the case this time, or at least this time my stuff can be recovered....

    Use old debuff anchor mechanics?

    After playing some more time with this change, it appears it's only going to be a factor early on before IOs and global recharge increases.

     

    In my play time I've notice the default recharge times is what makes the change a bit troublesome, but after the toon is outfitted I don't think it will be a factor.

    He's not here (yet?), but believe me, he still out there terrorizing forums, I've been seeing him A LOT on one I frequent . Same sense of humor. I first noticed him there about six months ago, and I was like Son...of....a....

     

    The Hamster was always an acquired taste for some but personally I loved playing the game with him. You'd always have to be on your toes.
