That said, I second the /jranger on the original.  You can do the tutorial and then run around Atlas for five minutes and have your travel power.  It's stupidly easy.  We don't need any more free stuff.

I actually shoot a lot of 12-yard trap.  I've got a vintage Winchester Model 12 Black Diamond trap gun made in 1948.  It's a sweetheart; almost (almost!) impossible to miss with that gun.

I have a different idea; how about, when you are at a crafting station, having said station automatically pull salvage from your base racks and/or personal storage?  Seems to me (standard code rant applies) that this would be easier to implement.

In my fantasy world (you know, the one where I am also a lottery winner), the phoenix like rise of this game from its own ashes gets the attention of the RIGHT people who finally see it's potential, who buy up the rights, and fully legitimize the current game while working on City of Heroes 2!  I'm sure NCSoft would love to be rid of it for the right price, and someone with the fantasy dollars would offer the right price (whatever that is).  Then they would devote some resources to tweaking the current game so it's a little more viable, and attractive to a newer audience, while all the development for the next version is going on.

 

I know, in my dreams.  But, then...who would have ever thought we'd be playing the original again, so crazier things have happened.  ;D

That being said, because this game is simply being run on charity, my fear is that in a couple of years or less that the hype will start to die down and folks will move onto  other games. This will eventually lead to the game dying again due to lack of funding, maintenance and just all around support.

 

Please please please try to get your friends, family or significant other on this game if they love games and haven’t played this before. I’d love to have this game around another decade or so.

 

Hopefully my fears are unfounded. So far I’ve gotten 3 new players hooked on the game .
