  1. Fog of war is part of the character data that's saved locally on your PC. If you play on a different computer, install your game on a new hard drive, etc. it will reset to all black. You can transfer your old maps by going into Homecoming > Accounts > [User Name] > Maps and copying the Maps folder.

  2. "Fair", in terms of running a costume contest, means that everyone who shows up gets an equal chance to impress the judge(s). It doesn't mean the judge will necessarily get to appreciate your costume the same way you do. If you have cel shading turned off and the contest judge has cel shading turned on (or vice versa) then, yes,  you'll both be seeing different images. But the same is true if you each have different gamma settings, brightness, or red levels. Heck, just using different monitors alters the image you see. And, if you both could somehow use the same monitor, people's vision varies too.

  3. That's a pretty good summation of my issues with the show. It was fun and had some nice character work for both Sam and Bucky but they really botched the big picture stuff. The different ways the show treated Zemo and Karli highlight that pretty well. Zemo's charming and has a clear, even somewhat sympathetic, motivation but the show still treats him like a villain. Sam and Bucky clearly don't like him and his murders are treated like murders. When he's hauled off to the Raft that's portrayed as a good thing.

Meanwhile, Kalri's motives are murky. She's mad at the GRC for some things they've done which we're never shown. Nor are they really explained beyond a few buzzwords like "refugee". When she murders people it's brushed off even though her body count is on par with Zemo's. Yet at the end the show wants us to be sad she's dead. And we're supposed to accept that, yes, the GRC really are kind of the bad guys. Even though their major contributions to the plot were hiring John Walker and getting kidnapped.

  4. What boggles my mind, aside from the general stupidity of death threats themselves, is that the MCU version of John Walker is much less of a d-bag than his comic book counterpart. And the circumstances by which he picked up the shield are much less controversial. Nevermind that the show is called "Falcon and Winter Soldier", we know darn well who's eventually going to wind up with the shield. This is about the journey where Sam proves to himself, and everyone else, that he deserves it.

  5. People forget, or more likely never knew, that at the time NCSoft bought out Cryptic the City dev team had been reduced to around fifteen people. NC poured a ton of money into setting up Paragon Studios, without which most of the game we love would have never come to pass. While I have no love for the way NC handled the shutdown, we shouldn't pretend they never did anything for the game.

  6. I just spent a few minutes testing this one. I can confirm that when Shinobi is active entering into a tram, Wentworths, or the vicinity of a base portal will trigger the present opening emote. As will using Inner Inspiration. Activating Shinobi once inside those areas does not trigger the present opening emote.

I do not understand removing Echo: Galaxy City beacon. Can someone explain this? You make Ouroboros available at level 1 now but remove the most convenient way to get it. Confusing.

This one puzzles me as well. Even with a nice, convenient base portal, Echo: Galaxy City was always dead. Requiring extra steps to go there seems pointless.

Everyone in this thread has made some really awesome stuff! From Alien worlds to modern cityscapes full of kitbashed yet recognizable staples! I'm in awe of the lot of you! I've scoured this thread and other resources looking for inspiration on how to do things. But there was one special feature, that one MAGICAL thing, that's eluded me thusfar. Maybe someone else already did this, and I missed it, in which case I'll be mad because I was tearing my hair out trying to make my concept work. I was going through each and every single item, trying to find the one thing that might make a suitable substitute for what I wanted to do. The editor actually has similar objects, but they were too bulky or fancy for what I had in mind. But then I found it! The one thing that will bring my concept to life and make me truly happy with my endeavor...

That said, I am proud to present my humble contribution to the proceedings: I MADE A DOOR!

(Two blank pegboards flipped around with a 5 lb barbell shoved into them. It's so simple now that I've done it, but getting there was rough!)

I'll never forget years ago, back on live, a group of us were invited on a base tour. You could immediately sort the base builders from the casual tourists because while they were all oohing and aahing over the Fusion Generator (which, to be fair, took PVP rep to earn so most folks hadn't seen one) we builders were all fawning over the room's doors.
