This is the wrong character. I saw the name and thought so but had to go and verify.  I still might modify that for something else.

This is the "Well, I don't hate it" version I have going right now. Still debating on keeping it female. The backstory is I have been looking at TA. I just haven't paired it with anything even though Archery would be easy for a Hover blasting character. Ended up going Grav/ta as I haven't really done either. Like, I have never rolled anything Grav. A TA/a might have been in the mid 20s back on live. I am currently tying it to CoH lore and thought about Croatoa and the named I settled on was Jonsson, but that is very in debate. I liked Croatoan Warder as well. I have a backup name I might use instead as I thought about using it for sometime.

What are the parts which make up the chest area and does the belt need to be unlocked? I know I had the belt for at least one other character, but I'm not getting it to show up on a female I am working on. Definitely not looking to copy it as I've made changes already. I'm just wondering. Heck, some of which I did copy just doesn't like right so I'm more looking like another variation of a ranger right now. I only have the boots and hood for what I would keep. I do like the belt I am currently using and might just keep it. I had a different top, but clipping was causing issue with any belt I liked, so trying to see if this one works.

It might not be available for females, I haven't checked yet, but here's the file and I don't mind sharing inspiration. I basically copied Superman's aesthetic so no worries 🙂

Inspirations are abused from lvl 1-50 and I already believe they are a problem because they trivialize pretty much all content. Their drop rate is too high and they can be emailed to yourself for extra storage. Hence why I like that some the new harder difficulty settings for Aeon SF disable their use. I am looking forward to this expanding to more content.

As far as P2W powers: If your argument is that their use already trivializes content at lower levels, then why would we want to further trivialize it?

How often do you see P2W powers used at higher levels?

Equal is not more. Allowing access to powers will not further trivialize it. It will be the same. One more time, it will be the same. Animations are the only thing that will change.

Which means you are saying "lets make this already easy content even easier!". Hard pass. I am for making stuff harder, not easier, in this already too easy game.

How do you feel about it already happening through the use of P2W powers and inspirations? The output is the same, but the actions are P2W animations. It's the same as just having your powers available.

First, you are going about this the wrong way. Plenty of people in the other thread said they disagreed with you. There comes a time when you just accept that and move on. You had an idea, it didn't pan out, no big deal.

Second, (and I believe this has already been stated) content at lower levels was designed around the powers you would have available. Having access to all powers at every level may trivialize the lower level content even more than some of it already is.

No one was able to backup their opposition with facts, thanks for being another example of that.  You aren't taking into account how the damage will be the exact same as P2W powers and a medium inspiration. The trivializing you're referring to is already happening through the use of inspirations and P2W powers.

  6. A GM who publicly demonstrated their lack of awareness of damage formulas and how mission objectives directly determine the playstyle of the team closed my last topic because they would rather exercise power than engage in factual debate. Hopefully this will have a different outcome. I'm also hoping that the usual suspects will take a second to think critically instead of voting no then asking how it works right after.

If AE missions are the most brain-dead and most popular way to level up and slotting P2W powers and a medium inspiration is the equivalent to just having access to your own, why not allow players to keep their powers? Please keep in mind that damage is capped at lower levels. The Lv32 big damage/aoe whatever you're thinking of will do the same amount of damage as a P2W power in places like DFB and Posi+. Incarnates are not included.

    Common ignorance:

"That's too powerful!" - People are already spamming Team Inspirations to reach the damage cap (you don't need many at that level) and equipping P2W powers to blaze through lower level content. Your irrational fear of Level 1s having Fulcrum Shift is already happening by popping 2 medium inspirations.

"Well there's more to damage, please consider CC abilities" - A Storm Controller using Gale slotted with knockdown and recharge can permanently lockdown and knockdown whole groups of mobs from the start of DFB. A Kinetic using Repel slotted with knockdown and reduced cost can permanently lockdown and knockdown whole groups of mobs in DFB. An Electric Controller using Jolting Chain slotted with recharge can permanently lockdown and knockdown whole groups of mobs in DFB.

The issue is, you're arguing against yourself and what you stated you wanted in your opening argument.  You want people to slow down, be more of team player, and work together instead of just running off and speeding things... The things you like about the lower level content you stated are because people's powers are limited.  And apparently, not many people are being uber in that low-level content with P2W powers or super inspires, or base buffs, or etc - otherwise, you would have stated something differently from the start.

By asking the devs to give us all our powers when we ex down DOES NOT HELP what you stated in your opening statement - it will only make people do the exact opposite and speed off on their own.  Can people already be sort of uber at lower levels with Super-uber inspires, P2W powers, buffs from base machines, and etc - yes.  But rarely do people do this - as I think you know.  So again, asking to give people all their powers at lower levels only makes it worse and more easily accessed and counter to what you're asking for.

So pick what you want to argue for - slowing people down for better teaming and strategizing and having to rely on others OR being uber all the time and not needing anyone let alone a team.

Power access has nothing to do with mission pace. The lower level missions are more enjoyable because the objectives encourage cooperation. If DFB's objective was to just kill the bosses or escort teleporting, they would be speed ran. Having access to powers is the exact same as replacing them with P2W powers and popping an inspiration in DFB and Posi.

I'm not a maths guy.  Could someone use a random example with some number crunching to show the difference?  I've been playing long enough to know from experience that what Mark believes to be true here, is not actually true, but I lack the mathing skills to illustrate my point.

A hard confession to cop to, but there you have it.  😁🤷‍♂️

My previous posts have facts and receipts. You continue to provide nothing but empty distraction.

If the fact that everyone isn't immediately jumping behind your ideal vision of the game, with even the GMs completely denying that your idea has merit, why are you still here arguing about conditions that seem to be intolerable to you, instead of downloading a copy of the code and setting up your own server where you can make all the changes you want to the game mechanics and play exactly the game you want? You keep saying that it's a lost cause, but you keep coming back, responding to objections with the same "Let me tell you the same thing again and again until you see that I'm right" argument.

I would suggest that this thread be closed; I don't think that it's going to produce anything useful if it continues. But that would be up to the GMs.
