Nostalgia is tricky but the only way is forward with fresh ideas. I don’t want to go back to pre-HC at this point. I would rather try other post 2019 servers than go to pre issue 24 again. The good old days were the good old days but it’s time to move forward with new content and approaches.
Problems will always exist in COH. Elements of this game will forever gain and lose favor based on whoever is running this thing. I do say anyone storing more than 20 emails in their account - good luck ! That thing is a risky black hole some days.-

Very hard question - I have loved all of Cimerora and on my wish list is to see Croatoa turned cooperative and contented. I like COH for its sci fi super hero feel but it’s fun to dabble in the magic realms. I like the Red Caps, Jack of Irons and the giant green deer people.

If you can't afford to donate - don't worry!
Just keep being awesome and help out the new players. You can offer to start teams in game, answer the questions you know in help channel or simply be kind to each other in game, in forum and discord!

Best of luck! Ty all you do. Victory has been a new quiet place to play my favorite game. My own employer started to swing the opposite direction this summer after years of small growth even under Covid and cost cutting by eliminating office space and other non people overhead but no more. My own team just eliminated open vacant jobs and plans not to backfill jobs with upcoming fall retirements. The revenue forecast is shifting from optimistic break even to negative or now super negative for FY 26/27 with promised government program dollars cut (we are still obligated to provide services), tariffs up/down and ever present inflation nibbling on things.

Keep things easy to access. We should be helping the new players learn the concepts and make it easy to give loot and things they can mess up and not have to grind a week to try again later.
There are plenty of ways for individuals to make the game harder for themselves without dragging down everyone else. Up team size, levels, play naked without inspirations / enhancements etc etc.

I am still fatigued at years of too much Praetoria back on Live while Prime earth was neglected. Development on Praetoria for zone concepts, new art assets and game flow were really good but never seen by the people who only played heroes.
However… yeah if there is a passionate developer with something new - stick it on Primal Earth too!

I do not log the hours I used to but I still check in for updates. I simply love this game and eternally grateful for the friends in real life I have made all over the world. For those that moved on I wish them fondly wherever they may be.
I believe there is still gas in this game's tank to innovate, engage players of all ages with positive family friendlier content and be a source of inspiration and creativity. I have always liked the Mission creator, the super group base system improvements introduced by Homecoming or even simply fan art.
Regardless of disagreements of the day this community still comes together. I like to think this is one place that can do more to bring people together and not divide us.

In the absence of absolute answers you can create your own content honestly. When in doubt, be creative- it's not like there is the Lore Police to hunt you down.
Q1) I think you get to design your own - There are several characters mentioned in lore that may not actually make appearances in game or the comic books.

Q2) Siren's call is in the hero's city.... the Villains come in via sub/helicopter to the purple zone in Randall's Ruins.

Post it here! There are players who have immersed in this game since 2004.
Plus read not only the wiki page for the zone but each marker/landmark./badge. There could be tidbits there too.

There should be a Starro movie and no, not that chump starfish from Suicide Squad. I think i only counted 4 arms on him anyway.

My father was from that generation of blue collar guys that worked and worked. My father cashed out vacation time rather than take time off. He never once called in sick or did physicals/wellness because he felt it was not worth his time -- please go to the doctor when you do not feel good. Take a day off to recuperate. Take care of yourself and don't mask issues with alcohol or drugs. Follow the symptoms and signals and get checked out for both routine or emerging small things. My father did not and he was gone in less than a month when his cancer did become all too obvious Memorial Day '94.

Forever my favorite mmo game!!! Thanks to this game Back on live I traveled to weddings and played regular with a group of about 50 people. Wherever those players are today- I hope them the best!!!!

I get negative feedback on playing in game groups too but I like the idea, especially as mastermind pets. Not sure if the Family, Rikti or snake bodies would get old too quick.

Do not take it personal. The game is protecting itself from unwanted examination by outside parties. I have been generic'd on many names on live but only once on HC. I thought LIVE was more restrictive than HC as most of those characters were not played in months! I gueesed they ran some sort of script to scour the database for some criteria.
All you can do is roll with it. Maybe there is some sort of Eternal Phoenix game or character out there in movies/comics culture we have not heard about but the GM knows it and wants to avoid any copyright infringement.
I say open a ticket and ask for a freebie respec in light of the situation and maybe a GM will grant or not. OR get your character to 25/35/45 for the next respec trial or email inf between characters, etc. or ask a guildmate for some spare inf.

Restart Signature Story Arcs (5-7 part stories) released monthly/bimonthly. Something that adds new lore with guest authors.
Revamp Synapse Task Force into a two-parter like positron with more fun than a lot of kill missions
Revamp the Hero Respec Trial with a harder mode.
Make Hazard Zones a destination for each level - I liked the Striga revamp and even the smaller Boom Town revamp.

Yeah it can be a grind. Maybe try teaming or increasing team size/difficulty to spice it up.

I agree with Ghost - post your suggestion and you move on. Don't take things personal and take the high road.
I like the Suggestion Forum and make it a daily read but there's a lot of word salad that needs refinement or solutions looking for a problem.
Even an excellent and awesome well thought out suggestion can be hamstrung by old tech or very limited volunteer dev time.
A terrible idea should be picked apart until it is improved or concluded. God knows I have posted some real turds all the way back to LIVE forums.
Should people stop? No! Keep them coming!
