  1. So, reading the tooltip on Dimension Shift, it appears that it makes 'that area' intangible/phased out. Anyone who enters, can then interact with that bubble.

This leads me to believe the outside world cannot, therefore what's to stop a person from using it as a form of defense. Toggle it on the ones you are fighting, ignore the others. Pop out when you are ready to deal. I guess that isn't really offensive, but wanted to know if it functions as I am thinking.

There isn't a "proper" way per se, more of an "effective" way to utilize enhancements.

The best way to use Pet IO Sets? Well.... For starters, the best way to find out is to TEST everything with a test dummy (a test MM toon) on the Pineapple testing shard (title formerly held by the now defunct Justin) and then do a numbers crunch, or comparison. You could also download Mids Reborn, and also download the appropriate .NET updates to get it to work, and then start messing around with slotting and enhancements to get a good numbers table going.

OR     (Incoming Praetorian character acronym humor reference 😀)

The second (or alternate) thing to do once you've made AND properly slotted your Test dummy (Not to be confused with the Praetorian Tactical Engagement Strike Team :P) with the most awesome enhancements, enhancement catalysts and boosters that you could find (in the testing shard all of the recipes, boosters and catalysts are FREE from the merit vendors), slotted both of your builds, then go into the most dangerous zone you can think of and start taking down baddies, and log your results if you want. Test your holds if you have them, your stealth power if you have it, and your pet buffs if you got them, Test EVERYTHING. On the merit vendor in the testing shard you should have access to pretty much anything or everything you should ever need, and there's also a list of commands in another section of the forums which will allow you to provide yourself with whatever Inf or leveling you need to test your toon (emphasizing you can only use these commands on the testing shard).

There's also some additional articles or videos that will show you the different types of combinations of enhancements that will give you different results, just browse around the forums.

You mentioned Pet IO sets in the beginning, I would recommend that you expand your focus not just on Pet IO Sets, because there are other IO sets which will SIGNIFICANTLY boost other abilities on your pets AND yourself, which is why I am not focusing simply on Pet IO sets. I did some testing on a Robots MM with some good results and used a number of combinations of IOs (Both crafted, and regular IOs), some IOs grant a combination of percentages whereas normal IOs provide one single large percentage number focusing on either damage, hold, knockback, or whatever the IO is intended for. There are also some IOs which have some unique abilities (heal types regeneration points, psionic damage, heal processes, endurance recovery processes, etc).

Finally, there is no such thing as a right or wrong utilization of pet enhancements, just an effective or ineffective way of combining enhancements period.

Tl;dr, there are no right or wrong, just more or less efficient for your playstyle.

  3. Just played in a TF with one. Very impressive. He managed to keep some form of control going with ever pull. We were blowing through the content very quickly and he kept up, dropping all his fun toys and cycling through his options.

  4. I have a Dark/Kin at T3. I cannot remember my ancillary pool. She is beast. I am able to drop so much control, I can aid with several mob pulls, while also buffing damage and refilling blue bars. It is a very strong set.

Now, I am leveling a Fire/Dark. It feels like easy mode play.  So much control, so much damage, such lovely synergy. I feel like it cant get much better than this. Now I definitely want to try a triple D build.

I start with either Bonfire or Flashfire. Drop immobs, then climb into melee and let my feet & imps do all the work. Tossing the occassional heal for -regen and to keep the green bar filled. I mow through move quickly. I stay safe doing it, and I havent even scratched the surface on what I can bring to the table.

Being in a fast paced team means I get to try different elements of the build as me mow thru the mobs. Every power or combumation just makes life that much easier for everyone.

  5. I'm bringing this over from Help & Support.  Not sure where to ask for help. I've submitted a ticket, checked forums, etc.. Still cannot find a solution. So, here goes.

Logged in to do my thing. Noticed my hotkeys were selecting Action Bar 2 powers, not Action Bar 1 powers. So, I opened up options/keybindings, and noticed many had been reset. No biggie. I change them back. Same problem persists.

    I logged out/in. Same problem.

Reset to defaults. Even defaults work as mentioned above.

Set keybinds to personalized setup after defaults. Still nothing.

Completely logged out of the game client entirely, logged back in. Still the problem persists.

Looked through 5 pages to determine if there was another with this problem. None, so here I am posting.

I have just updated my Antivirus whitelist. I will log in and see if that made a difference.

    *update*

Just logged back in. Still having the same problem.

Tried Bar #5, and setting up my keybinds for it, still having the same problem.  Going to try a different character.

    *update 2*

    Problem persists with alternate characters.

    *update 3*

Uninstalled entire game client. Download & install all over again. Login, keybinds still not working for Tray 1. Keybinds set for Tray 1 work for Tray 2. Keybinds for Tray 2, work for Tray 2.

  7. Howling Twilight is a powerful debuff. The rez is a happy side effect. -500% to regeneration is one of the best regeneration debuffs in the game.

  8. @Hyperstrike, Thank you for that build suggestion. I was scratching my head on Hurl until I noticed the slotted goodness.
@Cutter, This is kind of what I was looking at with my own slotting. I am hoping to get a build that has full yummies across the board. Not sure if that is possible tbh.

Hyperstike's build looks like it will work for my end goals. I feel quite beefy as is, sitting with 6% Defenses, so I can only imagine how much better I will feel with capped +Resist, and a smattering of +Defense.

  9. Thank you. Mine is 25 right now. I am thoroughly enjoying his playstyle, but when I try and plan in Pines, I just get overwhelmed with the options. I'll have to post my build for others to critique and offer suggestions it appears.

  10. Pretty cut & dry. Radiation Armor has so much goodness packed in I don't want to skip a single power. For SS, it appears the attacks I will want are Jab (default), Punch, Taunt, Knockout Blow, Rage and Foot Stomp. Coupled with my Power Pools of Leaping, Fighting, Leadership & Speed (addicted to Hasten), and the Epic Fire (for theme), not sure how to slot everything up to reach cap in all the goodies. Anyone got a version where I can be all the tanky goodness with good damage output?

I exemp down a lot as well. So being effective at all levels would be a bonus, if that is an option. I seem to reach 86% on S/L with my current build and likely have trouble seeing past all the +Recharge bonuses offered. Thanks for any and all advice/suggestions.

  11. I rolled a Radiation Armor/Claws tank. I wanted a fast attack speed. Running through DFB, loving how fast the attacks were after leveling a Radiation Melee/Bio Armor scrapper. Radiation Melee has very slow attacks. Having something so fast is a very nice change of pace.

Someone on the DFB said that Stret Justice is better and faster. I would like some insight on this. By Pines, I cannot see a aignificant speed difference, and Street Justice has combo moves.  Is Street Justic worth rerolling my tanker?

My ultimate goal is fast & powerful attacks while maintaining my tankiness.

  12. It has been a little over a month since I have come back. Most of that time getting familiar with an old, lost friend. Being able to visit all the old haunts has been, very helpful. Like many of us, the loss of CoH/V was a heckuva blow. The game allotted for so much more than just Go, Kill Skulz.

Initially the loss was mournful. Over time that loss lessened but never really left. Then moments of reminiscing would bring it all back.

Logging back into the game, hesitant but hopeful, only to hear that familiar music was magical. It soothed, it elicited excitement and it rekindled the fading fire of love for this game.

To all of you, who worked so hard, for so long when many of us had hung up our capes, I thank you. Deeply.
