There's few things that hubby & I consistently drag our feet on, but switching to new OSes has always been THE #1 'to the bitter end' thing with either of us (due to multiple cases if Really Bad Experiences for each of us ages ago BEFORE we became OS curmudgeons).
ETA: Sadly, still seeing a box with Chromoji. I shall simply have to assume all boxes are happy smiley faces from now on, because that's the only one I know FOR CERTAIN is displaying as a box.

Windows 7, but that's going to have to change soon. Husband and I have always had a really recalcitrant reaction to changing OSes, but we're not going to continue to use one past its EoL. It's up to date, and Chrome is, as well.
ETA: I HAVE seen some emojis here and there in other posts.

I am running uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger, but both have always been disabled for this site. I tested in Incognito, and I'm still seeing the empty square. Thank you all for responding, even if it's just my computer being a nutcase about... smiley faces, of all things. O.o

Thanks, PK & PaxArcana. I'm running Chrome... I must have something running in it that's disabling them. I'll have to look into it.

I've never taken Taunt on my Brutes. I have taken Provoke on some of my MMs. Either of those will gladly wade in first- the Brute because 'Got Fury Can't Stop' and the MM (either those with or without Provoke) because I've got bodyguards and buffs to soak the alpha.

Good to know about how the Like/Thanks and Inf system work on these new forums, but I have a fairly unrelated question. Is something displaying incorrectly for me? There are a few posts in this thread (and I've noticed in other threads) where someone added what I'm assuming is an emoji at the end but all I see is a tiny empty rectangle? Examples:
The first post, Lunchmoney's: "If you like a post, hit that button 🙂"
...then it happens a few more times with justicebeliever...
and finally, PaxArcana: "how you gave +rep. 🙂"
Yeah, what the heck is up with that? Is it just something completely going over my head? I just feel like I'm missing something there. Unless other people see something besides empty boxes at the end of the sections I copy/pasted above (within quote marks). Please elucidate. -
One thing I can say they're useful as mules for slotting more LotG if needed, because they can each hold LotG (or perhaps other Defense sets if any of their specials catch your eye, but mainly for LotG recharge).

ETA: With regards to the door I choose, I vacillate between 3 and 4. I seem to take one regularly for a while and then I'm suddenly always choosing the other and that will go on for a bit before I switch back.

Exactly! I turn off Sprint, and despite having zero boost to run speed (Swift unslotted, etc.) it still doesn't help the NPC stay within range, especially with minions jostling for their own spot in my wake.

I just wish that escorts could see you from farther away. It's really, really annoying for escorts to constantly lose my MM because collision with my pets causes them to be pushed back and wind up out of range. Over. And over. And over. I wind up having to turn off Sprint and pause every 5 seconds and yet they STILL get 'left behind' repeatedly. No Stealth of any fashion. I either dismiss my minions, or I turn on WALK and hope that that's slow enough for them to not get pushed back out of range. Bloody annoying.

I am finally back home, and I could hardly be happier. I struggle with far too many issues in life, and this game was always one of the best ways I found to center myself and feel... peace, relief, relaxation, ...just too many positive emotions to list. Losing it was like losing my 'safe place', the one place I always knew I could go and feel like everything was alright. I cannot express enough how much having this game back means to me. Anyone reading this who had any part in this, or has any part in continuing to keep it going, please know that you (yes, YOU) had a sincere (albeit unknowing) part in improving my own personal quality of life, and you have my sincere and joyous thanks!

'Army of Me' is my absolute favorite title for an MM. I've never had a Bots/FF MM, but...oh the bubbles, oh so many bubbles. I *have* had to hold onto that mission for a level or two before I was able to complete it (back on Live). Didn't have too terrible much trouble on my latest run with Thugs/Traps, but I also had Notoriety set to -1 level, so there WAS that.

Oh, those! Those aren't necessarily travel powers (I'm definitely not certain), I just know that those were extra power pools that were not fully completed before the game shut down. Missing animations mainly, I believe. We may see them, eventually, if there are any volunteers who choose, and are able, to finish them. They taunt me in the Hero Designer as well.

Those are likely the rocket board, magic carpet, etc. They aren't typical travel powers, as they are not part of any power pool you choose at levelup and more akin to 'temporary powers', even if they are permanent. You can't put enhancements in them, they detoggle all your active toggle powers while you use them, and they cannot be used in combat. They are all for purchase off the P2W (T4V if in Praetoria) vendors. That's where all the old 'purchase for real money' powers and such are located now (and that's why they're jokingly labeled P2W).

I seldom come up with really good puns for my characters. Or I think I do, only to find out that they're already taken. C'est la vie.
But MM pets, well there it doesn't matter if someone else already that idea, and I can enjoy it without confliction with anyone else's game. I LOVE naming my minions. I had oh so many different MM combinations on live, but I've only got a Thugs and a Bot MM here currently.
Thugs/Traps:
Plot, Ploy, and the arsonist is Prank. My Enforcers are Blitz & Krieg. My Bruiser is Zed, because he is the end of all things.
Bots/Time:
Clink, Clank, and Clunk. Protectors are Nuts & Bolts. And, finally, Grace. Why 'Grace'? Well that one takes a bit longer of an explanation, but I'll just leave a snippet for anyone interested, it's from a remake of a particular song...
"I like big bots and I cannot lie.
You engie girls can't deny
that when a girl walks in with a bot named 'Grace'
with a large chassis all in your face
you're good to go!
Wanna pet pull mobs"...
(..and etc., etc.)
I always check out other MM's minions to see if they're named as well, I love the creativity I often see there.

I did that Mr. G mission, and I destroyed every one of the items that would qualify for this badge, but I wasn't certain if they actually counted (so I didn't farm the mission). I finally got the badge, though, in my last Mayhem- a Talos Island one, and neither I nor my minions (at the moment my MM is my main badge hunter) had destroyed anything. Must've been one of the Freakshow side mission guys going on a rampage. I was still standing on the hill after entering the mission when a string of Bonus Time! destruction notifications began popping up, and then the badge notification.

While this has never happened to me, I've always been worried that simply clicking on/talking to a contact who would happen to have a story arc available would do exactly that, even if I never asked about missions. Now my worry has been made manifest!
On another note, um, yes please, elaborate (or link to elaboration) of possible Number Six issues if you could? I'm still waffling about in low levels and my memory isn't terribly clear on him from all those years ago... I believe I only ever did high level Praetoria stuff with one character, anyway. Not sure if I ever completed Number Six's stuff. I'd appreciate any clarification!

Typos bug me
I want to modify my Spines/Fire farmer to make it a bit more useful outside of fire farms, and this thread is helpful for that even though my own build is different than Bjornalf's since it actually IS a farmer. I'm also the kind of person who LOVES to know the 'why' of choices, because it helps me be better informed in making my own decisions in the future. I also know that while some people are excellent at being teachers, others very much are not, and that's absolutely fine because we're all different people and our brains work in different ways and it would be incredibly boring otherwise.
I was never any good at creating my own serious builds in CoX That Was, and I'm slowly learning to do so here (which is why the 'Why' of power/enhancement selection is so useful to me, because I am NOT a numbers person so it takes me a while to figure certain things out). I appreciate the 'Why's and I appreciate plain old builds with little in the way of 'Why', because hopefully eventually it will all coalesce in my brain as an AH HAH I GET IT NOW! Hopefully. Thank you Helen for your stupidly expensive build, I've saved it and it will likely use it in some fashion (eventually... I'm not stupidly rich quite yet).
