  1. So I suggest this - adding a permission to the coalition section to allow access to storage bins.  We already have entry permissions.  It would be very handy if I could have Toon A who is a member of SG X stop off in SB Y's base to drop off some salvage that I know Toon B needs.  This permission would not be on by default, because obviously this would only work for people who trust each other.  An SG would need to turn it on.

I like this idea. A lot.

  2. Could we get Teleport Beacons for the zones which currently don't have one? Ex: All of the "Echo" zones besides Galaxy City and Dark Astoria, Firebase Zulu, probably a few others I'm unaware of.

Would be really nice to be able to teleport to any zone from a SG base! ;D (With the exception of Ouroboros, since that one's special.)

  3. Okay, you want testing and not gut feelings? Fine. I took the half hour or so to download the beta files, recreate my main blaster (EN/EN), re-choose all my powers and slots, type dozens of commands to get all my enhancements filled out, and finally do some testing.

I hate the sniper changes even more than I thought I would.

The in-combat "instant" cast isn't instant. Sure, there's no interrupt period, but there's still an activation time of around a second or so. It's not nearly as fluid as live.

The recharge time (along with the aforementioned activation time) increase screws up my rotation (Snipe>En Burst>En Bolt>En Blast>sometimes squeeze in another Bolt>Snipe - all within the duration of a single Build Up or Aim).

The out-of-combat alpha strike is fine, but it sucks not being able to instant cast. Also, it doesn't seem necessary. Like I said on the previous thread: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I appreciate everything you guys are doing to get this game back up and running for us again. Bug fixes, texture/model fixes and such are great, but I'm really wary of these attempted "balance" changes. Blasters are one of the most popular ATs for a reason. They're in a really good place as-is. Please don't make drastic mechanical changes like this.

  4. Just adding my two cents: As a Blaster main, I do not like the sniper changes. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and it ain't broke. I like the dynamic play of managing your ToHit bonuses (Build Up, Aim, Inspirations) to make sniper attacks instant. I like almost never having to use the full charge. The extra damage on a slow snipe seems excessive, too.

Also, the way it works currently actually makes sense. If you have high enough ToHit/Accuracy, it makes sense that you wouldn't have to take time to line up your shot. This change is nonsense. You're just converting the sniper attack into a normal attack in combat (albeit with higher damage and shorter animation time), and a godly alpha strike out of combat. It seems like someone decided they want to be able to one-hit lieutenants or something (maybe even players) and tried to come up with an excuse to make it deal more damage.

Please don't push this to the live servers.

  5. Not a fan of your naming policy, especially if the character HAS to be 50 in order to not be lost. Names were first come first served on live so I don't see why you'd stray from that. That said you need an option besides getting to 50... I'm obviously not going to get every character I have to 50 in a year while also working on incarnates and ios for my existing 50's. Could you maybe settle at 32 or even 38 by the time you have all your primary and secondary powers?

An above poster already beat me to it, but I'll elaborate. You don't have to reach level 50 to keep your name, just log in with the character every now and then (timing depending on the level of the character). Even if you never level the character at all, you only need to log in with it once every 30 days to make sure that you keep the name. Level it up to 21, and you only have to log in with it once a year. Seems pretty reasonable to me. And you don't have to keep track of how long it's been, the character select screen does that for you.

  6. It might be useful to add the saving feature to the Tailor in the game.  As said, this is the longest task for creating a character, besides the actual leveling process.

Wait, you can't save/load costumes while editing your costume at the tailor? I could have sworn that was possible way back in 2008 before I stopped playing.
