I went though a bunch of old macros and it seems like anything that use to work to find our globals no longer works. We are trying to find old friends in the game and get together but it seems the GMs have broken the code which is easy so you cant do this anymore and im talking about several but all non player specific macros ive tried work

What do you need macros from? To access the Global Friends list, it's just a simple menu click (from the ParagonWiki). And you can also add a new Global Friend with just using /gfriend command. It's pretty simple. If you're on a team with someone, you can even right click their name to add them as a global friend!

I'm out.

none of that helps trying to use it to find people we use to game with without having to sholder tap everyone and ask what their global is there use to be a way to do that but none of the commands seem to work anymore unless someone has found a way

How exactly are you wanting this to work?

you can use /getglobalname $target

to get the global name of the person you're targeting. I don't think you can set anything up to just scan people without that input.

Edit.

actually maybe you can if you link it to /target_friend_next

I think I understand the question...

If you're looking for old global friends, there is no way to look up old globals; that database is not available. All accounts now are brand new. Some people do not yet know the game is back, some have moved on and don't want to play, others are waiting on definitive stability, and some don't want to play i25 content and are on other private servers.

Your best bet is to go to one of the Old Shard threads (like the Virtue one, and post there to see if anyone recognises the old globals.

Otherwise, just using /getglobal or /findmember IIRC.

But if they have not created an account, you won't find them.

"WHAT DID SHE TAKE?!"
