Densoro Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Had a good few hours of play when the game auto-opened after install, but when I come back and try to open Tequila again, it asks me to specify an install location all over again. My Tequila is in the same folder as https://i.redd.it/mga2xo4b5fv21.png this user's so I don't understand why it won't recognize that CoH is already installed in its location.
lunawisp Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 You're not trying to run the downloaded 'tequila' again are you? You should be running the one that was unpacked into the install folder. It does get a bit confusing with the same name being used for the downloaded file and the installed version.
Densoro Posted May 12, 2019 Author Posted May 12, 2019 Right, it's the one that appeared in the CoH folder, which was in My Documents. I just moved it to C: tho to see if that fixed anything. It did not.
Korbian Posted May 12, 2019 Posted May 12, 2019 Tequila.exe needs to be in the same folder as the CoH files to work, so put it back. You can make a shortcut of it elsewhere but the actual executable needs to stay with the game files. ;) If it won't run at all, you might need to delete tequila.xml (also located with the game files) and try running it again. It will replace the file so don't worry about deleting it. And once you do get Tequila to open go to options and make sure it has the right location for the game files. You might also check to see that it isn't running in the background. It has an option to close once the CoH client opens but it's not the default, and I don't know how it acts if it's already opened and you try to open again.

Sounds like the path has been removed. FYI, if you set it to "install" where the game already is, it will just re-validate the files without downloading anything.
Densoro Posted May 13, 2019 Author Posted May 13, 2019 ^ Perfect, that fixed it :D ...that said I just got booted out with an announcement that the servers are shutting down. I hope they only mean for now?? Not that there's been some sort of C&D or anything D:
The Fifth Horseman Posted May 13, 2019 Posted May 13, 2019 They're all up, most likely you missed a maintenance announcement on Discord.
