Is it even possible to get the disintegration effect on BR's Snipe?

As the title suggests, with the changes to snipe is it even possible to get the DoT on the snipe if the target has the Disintegrate debuff on it? it won't trigger when I do the fast snipe so I can only assume you don't get it unless it's the long cast snipe, but if you use the debuff first the snipe switches over to fast cast, so how can you ever get the bonus effect?

So upon further testing, it turns out I am getting the DoT effect on the snipe with Disintegration up. There was such a delay before the ticks started and the disintegrate message appeared that I just thought it was the DoT from the disintegrate power.
