Spines/Rad how well does it do in overall game play

I was thinking of making a spines/rad/mu or spines/rad/levi for something new and different to play. I was going to ask what are the pros and cons of spines/rad brute. Can this power set tackle 4/8 missions, tfs, gm runs and farms on both fire and s/l. I never have touch the rad armor pool so I was going to ask can a spines/rad be worth it.
