JanessaVR Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 I had a character that I had disabled XP for. She was level 15 in Praetoria, Imperial City. That's the level cap, and I was progressing through the storylines there. I took a break for the evening and then came back home and was planning to log on for an hour. I completed Beholder's story arc and suddenly leveled up, and thus instantly lost access to all the story arcs I wanted to do in Imperial City. When I turned XP off, I was *very careful* about it, and hit Apply. I log back on, and it's "helpfully" reset to back on again. So now I'll have to delete this character and start all over again. All that time and INF, down the drain. I dearly want to know how to *keep* XP turned off. Clearly I'll have to double-check it *every single mission* from now on. What a pain...
JanessaVR Posted August 16, 2020 Author Posted August 16, 2020 Until this bug is fixed, I recommend this: /macro NoXP option_set NoXP 1 If you're trying to not out-level content, just click this button every single time you enter a mission.
Apparition Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 By any chance, did you happen to reload your options file at some point?
JanessaVR Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 Nope. Left the house for a few hours, came back and logged in, and it was suddenly reset. It was working fine for 2 days before that. Clearly, I can't trust the game to actually keep XP off, so the macro above is the next best thing. I'll just have to get used to clicking it every time I enter a mission.

I've been playing since April of last year with XP off the vast majority of the time, and the only time it turned itself back on was when I reloaded the options file once without realizing that it would re-enable XP. Hrm. There has been a lot of weird behavior lately though, hopefully it'll be looked into.
