Crash on startup. (resolved)

So, the obvious stuff out of the way:

It's not my drivers.

It's not my anti-virus.

I revalidated the files

I looked at this troubleshooting post.  I couldn't find anything that pertained to my specific issue.

 

I got the game to start up normally.  However I needed to change the display setting because it defaulted to 1280x1024 when I needed 16x9.  Almost a third of the screen was off the monitor.  So, I made the change, and the first issue arose when I couldn't exit the menu.  I chose apply settings, but nothing I pushed would take me out of the menu so I could log in.  So I alt-tabbed out and manually closed the game.  Now when I start the program, it immediately crashes to desktop 10 seconds after the game starts up.  Is there a command line I can use with Tequila to force the game to start in a different resolution?  Or in windowed mode, if that would even help?  Or am I going to have to delete, reinstall, cross my fingers and hope I can choose a different display resolution?

 

Update: I deleted the program and reinstalled.  Game launches normally.  I'm opting not to remove this incase someone else runs into the same issue.

Um after changing the setting at the log in screen you hit apply then to close the setting windows you have to hit the very very tiny red circle under the cancel button.

 

Also the guide tells you how to change setting from the registry if you have issues.
