Adrenal Booster & Defense Question

In the detailed info, it says that Adrenal Booster gives +34.20% strength to defense and Mids backs this up. In game, though, activating it doesn't change the numbers under Combat Attributes.

 

Is this some other kind of defense? What am I missing?

 

EDIT: I was able to find another thread that notes it buffs defense debuffs.

I'm fairly certain it also buffs some defense buffs that aren't flagged to ignore outside sources. It's supposed to make other powers stronger, the way Power Boost does.
