Sir Kit Breaker, EM/Shield scrapper, is my main. He likes to do a bit of everything, 3x8 s/l farming is fun (I'm okay with 4x8 but it slows me down), flashback merit farming is fun (I make a point of doing Freakshow war daily! (& you should too, 55 merits for 40 min with practice), random mission teams are fun, weekend TF marathons are awesome too! 

 

Below you will find the build I'm currently using and have been for the last couple months / since I rediscovered CoH. The build sort of represents some of my pre-sunset knowledge and some cursory googling. It's around 50/50 attuned/crafted and I threw a scrap ato in there without really understanding how it worked. Sub-optimal for sure. However, after researching it a bit, I'm still not really sure where the best place for the ATOs are and I'm sure there are lots of improvements to be made. This build has been rock solid and served me well, it's also a budget build that was fairly easy to craft with no pre-existing resources. However I have to admit that I made mistakes and I'm a little out of my depth on how to upgrade it.

 

I've recently amassed enough recourses to pimp out 1 toon nicely and I'd like Sir Kit to receiving that honor. I have about 20 mismatched purps and 15 PvPs that can be converted or sold (a few other nice shinny's too) and around a half billion inf.  

 

Help me upgrade my Scrapper?

I ran Dr Q with you the other day and you really made that run smooth.  I tried to optimize the build to my preferences.  Even if you don't like all the changes it should give you some ideas.  I usually toggle stuff like ageless and hasten off so I can check the numbers so make sure everything is on when you are comparing them.  I think the defenses are a little lower than your initial build but it's still soft capped.  I sacrificed some of the s/l resist you had but made huge gains on recharge.  Recharge should be high enough to run the attack chain of Chain induction>havoc>jacobs for max single target damage(crit proc in chain).  Throw in zapp when it's up since it hits really hard (but recharge is slower).  Thunderstrike is great soft control but it's too slow to run in a good single target attack chain so I save it for AoE situations personally.  I also switched over to musculature because it a really nice boost on scrappers.  I think there's enough recovery, defense, and recharge without running agility.  Especially since you are running ageless.

I ran Dr Q with you the other day and you really made that run smooth.  I tried to optimize the build to my preferences.  Even if you don't like all the changes it should give you some ideas.  I usually toggle stuff like ageless and hasten off so I can check the numbers so make sure everything is on when you are comparing them.  I think the defenses are a little lower than your initial build but it's still soft capped.  I sacrificed some of the s/l resist you had but made huge gains on recharge.  Recharge should be high enough to run the attack chain of Chain induction>havoc>jacobs for max single target damage(crit proc in chain).  Throw in zapp when it's up since it hits really hard (but recharge is slower).  Thunderstrike is great soft control but it's too slow to run in a good single target attack chain so I save it for AoE situations personally.  I also switched over to musculature because it a really nice boost on scrappers.  I think there's enough recovery, defense, and recharge without running agility.  Especially since you are running ageless.

Been running this for last day and a half. Its great!! I've done my regular farm and shaved about a min and half off it, did multiple BAFs including a MOBAF, FS War FB, random 54 mish team and a Citadel. Its done great against everything I've thrown it at. Really love the KD in ball lightning too!
