Official Release Date of CoH? 27th or 28th of April?

Hi all,

 

the title says it all - what is the official original release date of City of Heroes (in the US)? The answers I'm getting from Gooogle are a little conflicting.; the Wikipedia entry for CoH states 28/04/2004, but almost every other site I come across states 27/04/2004.

According to https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Timeline:

04/25/2004 - City of Heroes three-day head start began for those with a pre-order code
04/27/2004 - City of Heroes' official publishing release date (when retail purchase could begin)
04/28/2004 - City of Heroes' live launch (and the date used for Anniversary Events)

 

The release date and the launch date are different in this case. Based on your question, it's the 27th; although you could (apparently) log on two days earlier than that. The wikipedia article date has a webarchive link announcing the launch which it seems to be using as the release date based on the notations.
