Zappalina
Hi , I know it's make believe but, Long time avid mineral collector here over 40 years, obsidian doesn't really form crystalline shapes. It's hardened magma It sometimes forms a mineral called "Apache tears" those are round, Obsidian, It also fractures super easy on Moh's scale of hardness, not that hard of a mineral. Past civilizations used to make arrowheads out of it, probably spear heads as well but dunno about that because of the hardness scale if it would have been efficient and held up well for spear heads. The current nictus dark crystals, those are similar to calcite (that's a mineral) like hexagonal crystals - they're nice pretty. (not that hard) thought you may want to know. https://geologyscience.com/minerals/obsidian/ If you make up more lore around rocks you may want to check this online magazine out or this can actually tell you what areas certain rocks are popular at/in. https://www.mindat.org/ Better language if you want to use obsidian would be "These weapons look to be forged with obsidian like mineral fragments in the metal." Arc-Mage
It’s Science Bitches! I love it when I learn things from video games. Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it just means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own. With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.
