COH on Steam Deck?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the details I came back today just for something like this.

Playing on my steamdeck is going to be great!

I hope to not run into issues but I can see some have had some but you've helped with screenshots.

🤞

Before I start though, using your screenshot there is more than one launcher? How do I know which to use?

I see proton 8 too does it not work with that? Can it be changed to 7 after?

I selected 8 and it says:

Proton: Upgrading prefix from None to 8.0-103 (/home

/deck/Games/Homecoming/)

fsync: up and running.

wine: RLIMIT_NICE is <= 20, unable to use setpriorit

Hello! Did the installer pop up but you weren't able to interact with it? I had that same issue, and it was fixed by closing the un-interactible installer, making the .exe file run on steam, and making it use proton to launch. Hope this helps!

Faultline, Thank you so much for your work and dedication to this game and to the community, I"m a 55 yr old dog who's learned a new trick or two from you. Greatly appreciate all your instructions and pictures, installation went flawlessly my first time through.

I looked around the forums and saw some files that could be deleted, I did that and got it installed.

Now I need to look into if mods work or not, I made a post about that but unsure if I have replies yet.

i think im missing something critical, this command doesn't do anything or does the on-screen keyboard not work for this?

rebooting did it, not sure why but it works now 🫡
