A few weeks ago via this thread: I installed the game. Today I wanted to add it to steam so i could play it in game mode and find what seever my character is on but the desktop icon has vanished. I found hcinstall.exe via Home > Games > Homecoming but clicking that asks what wine I want to open it in and none say CoH. So how do I sort this and how do I add it to Steam to open in Game mode please. Oh, nearly forgot...I tried to run the command in that thread again but it couldn't find the command or something.

Thanks for responding and Sorry for the late reply. I dont think i have that file anywhere. I will look around again. I did see a windows one but wanted to play this more on my deck.

I looked around the forums and saw some files that could be deleted, I did that and got it installed. Now I need to look into if mods work or not, I made a post about that but unsure if I have replies yet.

Without logging in and checking every single shard how can I find which one has a character of mine on? I've not played in a while and reinstalled today. Can the various mods the game now has be installed on the steamdeck version or is it Windows only? Thanks

I see proton 8 too does it not work with that? Can it be changed to 7 after? - edit I selected 8 and it says: Proton: Upgrading prefix from None to 8.0-103 (/home /deck/Games/Homecoming/) fsync: up and running. wine: RLIMIT_NICE is <= 20, unable to use setpriorit y safely

Thanks for the details I came back today just for something like this. Playing on my steamdeck is going to be great! I hope to not run into issues but I can see some have had some but you've helped with screenshots. 🤞 Before I start though, using your screenshot there is more than one launcher? How do I know which to use?

Do we need our characters to be of a certain level?

I lack imagination sometimes and wanted a character that I could do the Rogue stuff with I asked my son to make me a character. He loaded up his kindle fire app and came up with a guy who comes from The Sun via an app called 'Make A Superhero'. Anyway he told me to recreate it in CoH, so I did. His is on the left and my recreation (with his guidance on boots and cape etc) is on the right. He wanted his character to have powers to do with fire/sun etc so I did this as much as I could and added a Fiery Aura also. p.s. Sorry about image resolution - I wanted to make it small enough for people viewing it on all devices.

Hit Printscreen then head to CoH folder \Screenshots You can then upload to sites such as Imgur.

Whirlmeister that would be cool. I should've added more green to mine for Wales but kinda followed the Union Jack more than specific countries.
