Screen Resolution Won't Reset

I copied my CoH folder from my desktop to my laptop to avoid the long download since my connection is only 2M and takes a long time. All seemed to work well, but when I went to OPTIONS to try to reset my resolution to 1920x1080, it wouldn't reset. The OPTIONS resolution shows 1920x1080, but it doesn't reset. As a result, the game far overfills the screen. I can't even get to the MENU to exit but have to exit from TASK MANAGER.

 

The same occurred when I originally DLed and installed on my desktop, but for reasons unknown, it eventually reset after I fooled with it.

 

Suggestions?

Problem solved with work-around.

 

From a previous thread, Alt-Enter goes to windowed mode, but left a little of the right edge cut off. Switched to Full Screen and it adjusted.

 

I still don't understand why it won't reset resolution, but I can live with this, if I must.

 

Unfortunately, it doesn't "stick" permanently, so when I launch again, I have to go through with low res overfilling until I get to CHARACTER SELECT, then Alt-Enter, then FULL SCREEN.

 

So, I'd still be interested in a fix to get it to reset permanently to 1920x1080.
