Does absorb count towards damage taken?

Finally getting around to getting the beneficial accolades on my villain and the Born in Battle one requires the Adamant badge which states "take 1,000,000 in damage". Now, as a Tanker, there's no way I haven't taken a ton of damage by now...but it's usually mitigated by rad armor absorption. Is the absorb field screwing with my getting the badge or am I loonier than usual?

This is pretty easy to test.  Find a mob that can damage you (e.g. portal corp parking lot), activate absorb shield and let them hit you.

 

 

 Absorb = 1015.9

 

Got hit for 20.27+1.54+1.54+1.54+1.54 = 26.43

 

 

I'm off by a little but whatever, the point is that yes your damage taken includes damage Absorbed.
