Sidious Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 I'll be 46 in 2 months. I started out playing Diablo II, not a MMO but it sure was damn fun. From there I gravitated to CoH. I think it was just prior to Issue 2, back when they still had the Blue King Comic sub with your monthly. I loved everything about it. I'd spend hours in AP, adventuring, doing missions, even tried some PVP. My son was 7 when this game came out and he got hooked too but later drifted into other games and consoles. I took a 2 year break to try WOW with some friends, it was fun but I left it cold turkey in '09. I went back to CoH after that and played up until sunset. After CoH I tried DCUO (I had actually pre-ordered the game when it came out) It was meh. It gave the Superhero fix but it wasn't home. Star Wars, Star Trek, Warhammer Online, bunch of others. Earlier this year I tried DCUO again and the toxicity of that community made me uninstall the game and I haven't looked back. Then came Easter Weekend and CoH rises again. :) I'm here until they pry it from my cold dead hard drive.
MrAxe Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 I'm 38. Played CoH very close to the UK release, gave the Lord of The Rings Online free trial a try around 2007. Didn't like it. When Heroes shut down I started playing Champions Online. Got bored and quit in a month. The travel powers were nice. Everything else sucked. Tried DCU Online. They did a fantastic job of telekinesis but ultimately got bored again. Tried LoTRO again and really enjoyed playing it with the wife, but the novelty of exploring Middle Earth wore off after 700 hours. Tera had 6ft guns and the combat was great fun but it wasn't a super hero MMO, it wasn't CoH. I was looking forward to Ship of Heroes then City of Heroes came back. Never thought about playing another MMO since. Oh and I spent about 2 hours in WoW, Star Trek Online and Warframe. Maybe an hour in Dungeons and Dragons Online.
