Hello everyone! Years ago I found CoH and gave it a whirl with my first character - a Gravity/Kinetics Controller named Infini Dragon. Even after hitting 50 and getting altitis, I would always come back to this troller to build him up over numerous build iterations. Eventually, my main become my Ice/Ice tank and Infini went into a more troll build (lots of +knockback in Wormhole and throwing mobs straight into the air was humerous in lowbie areas). Later on, Time Manipulation was released and I thought it fit the character, thematically, better than kinetics did. However, I could never bring myself to reroll and start him anew. Then the game was shut down and I was left wondering 'what if' all this time.

 

Now that the game is back and making solo servers is a thing, I have been able to rebuild my first toon with all the shiny stuff I would have eventually earned for him! I don't really intend on pursuing it on Homecoming (don't have the time to grind again), but I figured I would play around on my own and build things that others may one day want to shoot for and invest in.

 

A little about this build, it is perma Hasten, Farsight, Chrono Shift, and Indomitable Will (yea I went Psi Mastery!). I also achieved ~47% ranged defense with buffs up, in addition to ~60% Psi defense with IW active. Melee/AoE defense sits just under 34%, but with Time's Juncture, you're basically softcapped there, too. A few caveats to this:

 

Recovery is a bit iffy when spamming AoE abilities. Going Cardiac or Vigor for Alpha slots should help with this (prefer Cardiac for the +Range)

 

No Temporal Selection. It was either this or Slowed Response and I went with the latter as damage with this build is a bit lacking. However, swapping the two with the same enhancement slots - TS still has a ~36s recharge with no enhancements and it is the only way to heal Singularity. But with as fast as singularity recharges and how often I'm not getting hit or controlled, I think the setup works fine. Or, if you're focused on team content and not damage, you could drop Propel for TS.

 

Lack of AoE Damage. Focusing on Bosses with lift/gd/propel while sing/cf do work on minions works okay in solo missions for a team of 8. Swapping into a proc heavy slotting could be feasible, or swapping epic pools. Losing the 10% recharge there takes IW just off of Perma so you'd need to be more mindful of it. I will have to test a proc heavy slotting for CF soon.

How does it do for solo leveling? I'm 29 so far, with no build plan, maybe this would work better.

 

I took it on a solo RWZTF and it solo'd fine, just a little slow on +X/+8. The biggest thing is a lack of AoE damage. It is kinda like whittling down everything around the big target you're chunking with Propel. So there is room for changes to make it more solo friendly - damage wise. You will rarely get hit with softcapped ranged defense when at range. Closing the distance is safe, too, due to having enough melee/aoe defense to get softcapped with the tohit debuffs on mobs from Time's Juncture. And you don't have to worry about Psi damage as much as you're softcapped there and have mez protection from IW.

 

Been playing with some other builds but I do intend to revisit this to get more direct damage into it.
