Returning player going brute. Rad/Rad or Rad/Fire (thematic character build I have in mind)?

I want to be able to do group or solo content. I hear good stuff about rad armor but fire armor helps dps with dots has good defense but lacks knockback protection...which way would be preferable for my goals?

IMO, rad/rad would be a better all around for content and can farm, while rad/fire will be a better farmer that can play general content.

I much prefer rad over fire but that’s just cause I don’t like fire swords.

Does fire aura have swords? I didn’t think it did.

Fire melee does, but not fire armor.

What I thought. Melee Rad is necessary, Doctor Half Life demands it. It’s the fire or Rad armor im figuring out. Sounds like rad armor is pretty good though.

Oh sorry. Was thinking tank question. Hands down rad armor then.
