I see that this has gotten a number of views - I was wondering if people were hesitant about visiting the link, or just did not have comments after reading it

I don't know, I think you need to add a fake comment section with some outlandish theories in there and then "Comments turned off" to really emulate some news sites.

 

I liked the story.  Just waking up, so I'm not up for much constructive criticism, but if you enjoy writing them, I think people will enjoy reading them.
