MaskedMan
Currently at lvl 18, I realized I don't have a definite build plan for my energy/electric brute. If anyone has a build to share, or even general advice that would be great. Also, what patron/ancillary power pool might best suit me (if any)? I was considering Energy Mastery or Mu. I am familiar with Mids, although it tends to give me a headache. Edited October 12 by MaskedMan
Octogoat
You don't necessarily need energy mastery unless you really want energy blast but it could also net you superior conditioning. Mu mastery meshes well with electric armor and gives you some non-cone AOE potential with ball lightning aiding em in doing more area denial.
MaskedMan
Makes sense. My only issue with ancillary powers is that they seem to come so late int he build, allotting enhancement slots almost seems a waste.
Without_Pause
It depends on the rest of the build. If you taken an attack, you'll likely want 5 slots into it at minimum. Body/Energy pools tend to be nice since you can 1-3 slot the powers and call it good. If I'm tasking an Epic, I'm vastly doing it at Level 35 which is more than enough time to slot up two attacks if that is the route you want to take. That at least gets you to have one of the powers for Level 30+ content when exempted. You would have both at Level 33+. 1 Top 10 Most Fun 50s. 1. Without Mercy: Claws/ea Scrapper. 2. Without Hesitation: Claws/sr Scrapper. 8. Within Reach: Axe/stone Brute. 9. Without Pause: Claws/wp Brute. 10. Chasing Fireworks: Fire/time Controller. "Downtime is for mortals. Debt is temporary. My next question is about slotting my BF and UF enhancements... I've always assumed it might be best to place them in powers that would be fired off the most (assuming I'm using the procs, but why wouldn't I?) I believe on my EM scrapper I have them slotted into energy punch and total focus. Scrappers are different animals, but the gist is about the same, right? I know back when I was making an EM Scrapper I looked into the conversation about where to place them, but that was more about where to slot them based on which one you want to to have as the creating the Crit chance and the one for the extra Crit damage. UF does roughly 7 procs/minute so you can figure out the math based on recharge times. BF is simply going to trigger or at least the Wiki doesn't give a number/minute for how often it procs, but then I don't really have an issue with creating Fury on a Brute. 1 Top 10 Most Fun 50s. 1. WuTang
My son runs EM/EA/MM and it's great. Tough as nails, easy on endurance, and does decent DPS. I second (or third, fourth, fifth, whatevs) Mu Mastery. You get 100% endurance and recovery resistance and if you don't want Ageless Core then don't skip Power Sink and your endurance will be fine.
