Earth/Psi/Soul, Illusion/Nrg/Soul, or Elec/Psi/Soul?

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm looking to build a Dominator with the thematic abilities to affect the mind, body, and soul of targets. I'm pretty new to the nuances of the game (have never even gotten to level 20 before) but I've decided that I want to make either a Earth/Psi/Soul, Illusion/Nrg/Soul, or Elec/Psi/Soul Dom and would love to hear your thoughts on which you think would be best. Just a couple of points:

 

1. I tried Mind Control already, hated it. Just didn't feel good to use to me and I don't really like how it looks.

 

2. I'm mostly trying to solo as much content in the game as I can, even at higher levels. I have a weird schedule and it'll be unlikely for me to consistently play with any kind of other players, so I do need a build on the stronger end.

 

3. I don't want to use any Dark sets for the Soul component, I'm set on SM. I've seen a lot of posts of Doms using 3 SM abilities, and I'd definitely like to use 2+ SM abilities in my build (preferably 3+ if possible).

 

4. If you have a Dom that meets the "mind, body, and soul" lore thing that I want and you think your version is better than my options, I'd definitely love to hear about it (provided no Dark sets or Mind Control, open to just about anything else).

If you check my sig ive had a lot of success with earth/psi.

 

I too primarily solo.

 

Illusion can do well, but imo it is much better on controllers.

Dominator (Earth Control - Psionic Assault) 24mbd.mbd

 

Should be basically a direct swap out of psi app for soul assuming you take dark embrace, dark oblit and soul drain. Might want 1 more slot of soul drain though.

Stoney is slotted as needed. Depending on content he might need more/all of the res/def procs.
