Power Set/Customization Request: Beam Pistols

Hi Homecomers!

Just throwing out a low priority wishlist request here because I had a character I wish I'd had this option for.

 

The real request I have is simply for a power customization set for dual bistols to make them appear and sound like energy weapons. The sound part would be a must for my request because it wouldn't have the full effect if it looked like it shot pulse laser-type projectiles but still sounded like a regular gun. I don't know if this would be possible as I'm not sure if sounds are tied specifically to the powerset or to the customization.

 

If the customization option wasn't viable because of the afformentioned sound issue, then a much more difficult request would be for a beam pistol powerset. I know this is a much bigger ask because it would involve finding ways to make the powerset unique and balanced among the other ranged powersets and not just a reskin of dual pistols.

 

Not sure if this has already been talked about or requested elsewhere but didn't find anything through a search, so figured I'd post and see what the response was! Looking forward to any feedback!

Maybe it could have a mechanic where the player can throw one of the laser Pistols as some sort of automated Turret. While the turret is deployed, they only use one blaster in their attacks, but the turret just does it's own thing shooting nearby enemies.

     I love Beam Rifle, it would be cool if any new Beam sets still had Disintegrate so that they could combo with each other.

If the sounds are inextricably tied to the powers then maybe they could just create dual pistols as a new visual option for the energy rifle set , and, conversely, create a set of rifle visuals for dual pistols.
