Global Handle Change Tokens?

I know this might open an unwanted can of worms or may even be impossible given the tangle of the back end, but would it be possible to give players a global handle change token something like once every 12 or 24 months, capped to one per account? I assume this would be pretty niche, as most people are probably just fine or definitely all set with their global names, but it would be nice to have the option to change as time passes. 

 

I heard that you can submit a ticket to GMs, and maybe that's not tedious for the team, so maybe tokens would be way more work than it could possibly be worth, but I figured I would inquire and perhaps create a spot for an official stance.

You get 1 free global change per account, you can change it in one of the menus.

 

I don't really see a reason you'd need more than 1 change, but if, for some reason you do, you can then go to GMs to ask for it to be changed.

Reasons could include but are not limited to:

• current global may no longer apply or fit the player (such as someone who was married and started playing with a spouse but wants to move away from that after a messy divorce)
• chose poorly when changing the first time and either misspelled or picked something that has unfortunate connotations
• some people are never satisfied and get stuck picking something at random at first then think of something more cool/appropriate later on.....and again and again, etc.
• hiding from someone stalking them
• account has been passed on to someone else (family member or whatever) who wishes not to be associated with the original player
• "I didn't pick that. Gremlins must have done it."
• player has griefed others in the past and wants a fresh start
• player has utterly humiliated themself publicly and wants to distance themselves from that
• player was drunk/on drugs/not themselves when they used their one global name change and now regrets what they picked
• someone hacked their account and used their one global name change and now they're stuck with it
• some new idea has emerged in the zeitgeist and the player wants to lean into it by changing their global to reflect their interest or association
• peanut butter jelly time
• Rule 34
• they used their first global name change without realizing that there would never be another opportunity to change it and didn't think their choice through well enough
• they used their first global name change to pick something funny (or they thought was funny) but turned out to not be as funny as they thought
• they used their first global name change and entered something dumb on a dare
• complete personality shift and the person no longer identifies as who they once were
• parents never set boundaries and they expect everything to be handed to them whenever they want it
• reality has been altered and ... reasons or something ... and now, please let me change it back
• alien mind control influenced original choice
• player has a doctor's note giving permission to change it again
• player is going into Federal witness protection and needs to hide all traces of their former identity
• because
