Forager Posted Friday at 12:53 AM Posted Friday at 12:53 AM (edited) The D Squad Episode 1: Constellation Row Arc ID: 68066 Alignment: Rogue WARNING: There are cops, civilians and innocent bystanders that you can target at one point if you're not careful. Description: When the meteors hit and Shivan attacked Galaxy City, the FBSA ordered an evacuation. Officer Daniels has never been great at following orders it... and the rogues assigned to him are even worse. [SFMA] This is the final version of an arc I was working on and posted a few months ago. I had the finale in mind, and knew that it was supposed to follow the events of the Galaxy City tutorial, but it took me awhile to bring the two together. I was also a little ambitious with some of the encounters, and it has taken me awhile to make sure that it "works" no matter where the spawns fall. The end result was that it ended up with replay value, as different things happen each time and there are plenty of optional objectives. The fights are hard. If you don't like hard fights, lower your difficulty. It plays best for me solo on +1/x2, but the ambushes get crazy and I have to work. Edited Friday at 01:29 AM by Forager
cranebump Posted Friday at 06:03 PM Posted Friday at 06:03 PM I managed to run the first 2 mishes before having to go for an appointment. GREAT first mish. Ally spawns helped out a lot. Last ambush was a big one, but occurs after mish completion, so anyone who wants to bail can. Mish 2 also mechanically well done. I was grumbling about having to Find Exit, but located Blue Spectrum on the way out, so it made sense. Nicely done so far, kemosabe! I'll knock it out when I get back on. I have done a TON of AE work, both long form and single arc. Just search the AE mish list for my sig @cranebump. Oh wow... lol then you may have found the best solve... because that dude usually causes trouble. Thank you so much for checking it out. Find Mission Exit is not anybody's favorite, so I used the small map. It just made the most sense for the story, the troll rescue and the final encounter.
cranebump Posted Sunday at 04:56 PM Posted Sunday at 04:56 PM Finished the run today. Some observations: Big Shivan ambush is a toughie. Handled it fine with some insps. The bloodsucker I "rescued" hits HARD. Ambush on top of it and I died. Probably would've handled it fine had I chose to retreat and drag the group to me in nearby hall. Then I could've rezzed in mish if I died. Finale mish ran much smoother than I remember last time. Ended up with 3 allies as we did the Troll rescue chain floor-by-floor. Daniels had a nice moment at the end (finale text). OVERALL: Clean. Mechanically sound. Lot of nice details involving NPCs, esp. use of animations to show what they're doing. Nice use of dialogue there, too. Ambushes would be VERY tough for a non-exemplared character (though I think if you follow mainline quest, you miss some of them). Finished it without a hitch (save for that bloodsucker betrayer!).:-) Nicely put together. I'd like mish titles (or numbers) just to track my progress, but it's not a dealbreaker by any means. Only obvious thing I saw that you probably want to fix is missing searchbar text for "locks" in the New Skulls mish. It's just an empty red bar. Minor item, though. Overall, well done! Really liked that first mish. 1 I have done a TON of AE work, both long form and single arc. Just search the AE mish list for my sig @cranebump.
