Did Lusca gut an upgrade?

The other night I did the Lusca giant monster run three times on 3 different characters (level 19, 32, and 47)

One was a team of 8 while the other two were Leagues.

All three characters had multiple deaths, with the level 32 dying 7 times.  There were lot's of other toon deaths as well.

 

My question is did Lusca get an upgrade or were the teams that I was on just extremely unlucky...

There were a handful of Giant Monster tweaks in the last major update that made them all more challenging. I think Lusca's tentacles were also modified in an earlier patch, but I can't recall exactly off the top of my head.

 

So yeah, she's tougher to fight now.

I've noticed her hitting harder as well, especially if you happen to be in the cone radius of one of her attacks... and there are usually multiple people taunting her, so it can swivel to where you THINK you're safe RDQ. She also seems just a hair quicker to switch agro to people who upset her... high damage blasters and stalkers.
